shooter on the va tech campus

i fail to see what michael moore has to do with this. bowling for columbine was made to wake people up about this very problem, in hopes they take action to deter it from happening again. the problem is, people didnt act like they should have. just like they didnt act after columbine itself. which is quite sickening.

Wait, where are you? The UK?

I mean, that might explain how someone could they aren't shocked or surprised by something like this. It's the worst mass shooting in the history of our country.

EDIT: 12K. Yay. :csad:

it's the school shooting part that explains the lack of surprise, not the amount of casualties.

This press confrence is crap, these morons don't have a damn clue about anything!! :cmad: :cmad: *pulls self away from tv* :(

Still. It's not like school tragedies like this happen on a weekly basis here.

seriously. i am sure a lot of mistakes were made and a lot of fingers are going to be pointed about the second shooting. i am sure that one should have been avoided had the proper measures been taken

true, this is a pretty rare thing.

how weird is it that I'm on Facebook wondering if any of these people were killed, and if I might've known them.

How are you not shocked by it? Were you just sitting around your house just casually waiting for things like this to happen?

It's the biggest mass shooting in U.S. recorded history.

im just not shocked by it. I've been to 4 funerals involving close relatives and one for my sister, then **** like 9/11 and columbine. death does'nt really affect me that much, school shootings and murders just fly over my head. sure the victims family suffers, but i can surely do nothing to comfort them.

stuff like this just don't shock me.

a lot of them use facebook to let ppl now they were alive.

they made a group and ppl would post in it "i am ok a Vtech"

It's an all too common occurrence these days. Some black-hearted, evil monster decides that his anger is worth more than all the lives in his path and just starts killing and killing and killing. It's so senseless, it's mind-boggling.

VA Tech is only a couple of hours down the road and the effects of today will certainly take their toll the state as well as the nation at large. My heart goes out to all the families of the ones who had their lives ended all to soon. May God grant them peace.

i dunno but i heard the asian guy was from radford university, not VA tech

Okay someone help me out here. Especially those of you in other countries. Granted this happens every few years here. The last 2 being in the Amish country and the other on the Indian reservation, have there been any other type of school shootings in other countries?

The death toll is 33, Im watching Larry King right now. I think its sad how people have to even be cautious at learning institutions :(

There was a German school shooting 5 or 6 years ago.

and I think some crazy guy when to an elementary school in Japan and started killing kids.

That's all I can think of.

Thanks.

Just curious because I was racking my brain trying to think of non American ones thinking that maybe as a society we are to blame. But with those other shootings, insanity crosses all borders. :csad:

This is very tragic. I hope that SOB felt that bullet go through his face when he killed himself and I hope he has fun while Hitler and Satan have their way with him. My prayers go out to all the families and it is so surreal to realize this could happen anywhere.

No were not. This just another in a long history of tragic occurences that some times pop up. We're having tough times, but we'll be ok.

I have a feeling it will get a lot better, but there will be newer problems that we will deal with. They will be more complicated, but not as tragic.

No, they'll be just as tragic, if not moreso.

this is so sad to hear... this is the last thing we needed to hear in today's world.
