Should a future DVD have the option to watch w/Doug's voice???

I think Fox can really do something cool with a special edition DVD for this film down the road. It'd be awesome to have the option to watch the film w/Fishburn's voice or Doug Jones. They have both on record so why not. That would be a real treat.

Sure why not. If Doug Jones' likeness was used as the model for the Silver Surfer then "Fox" should have just went ahead & used his voice also. Although they would have enhanced Doug Jones' voice in some way it would have been great to hear the 2 different performances.

No, Doug's 'likeness' was not used as a 'model' for the Surfer - he plays the Surfer. Bit of a difference.

Fox will never do this, so really the discussion is moot. They can't be seen condoning Doug's voice in any way - in fact, they haven't, as far as I'm aware, even acknowledged his acting performance or Spectral's suit in the DVD extras, so why bother giving the Surfer his voice? And they didn't need to enhance it - it was a perfectly good voice, and everyone was happy with it as it was. But while AD's idea is a nice one it will never happen, and that's the reality of it.

I don't have any questions...I didn't necessarily like any of the voices I heard, from the first trailer to the movie. I didn't think the movie voice was all that bad when all was said and done, and after a couple of viewings it actually grew on me. That is what we got, so moving on...

My only comment on all of this is that it should have been Doug in the first place. Other than that, TAF is right - let's move on, and let's hope Fox learns by its mistakes and has Doug voice the Surfer in a sequel or spin-off. But since when has Fox learned anything by its mistakes? Never.

I dont see why they dont just let him voice Norrin Radd in a SS solo movie, LF can do SS, but DJ should do NR.

I can't see Doug playing NR at all, just not the right look, build,....I don't know, I just see NR as being more like Wentworth Miller, and there would be no reason why Wentworth couldn't be the voice of NR as well...

Not enough for me....I want someone that has the same build as the SS, but just alittle smaller in muscle build....similar to the cartoon. Doug would have to gain some weight for that.....don't see that happening...lol
