Will a character die in the films? Should some lower-tier justice league member be included, and be sacrificed? If so, who?

Interesting question. They already killed [BLACKOUT]General Zod[/BLACKOUT] in MoS so there is probably gonna be casualties, villains or good guys. Probably the latter.
A league member will not die, that´s for sure. It would be one thing if they decided to go with Abin Sur to pull in Hal Jordan that way or if Barry dies so that Wally can be introduced if ,say, they wanted different elements and charachters for the big and small screen.

A hero tho doesn´t have to be superhero, hence a leauge member. I guess you meant Superhero? I´ll throw out some names of the likes of which could die. Jimmy Olsen, Trevor, Dr Silas, Dr Ivo, Vandal Savage (you know what I mean, come on now), Black Adam, and I save the best for last, Gorillas from Gorilla city. They could easily die. They´re gorillas + Grodd is really evil.

I don´t think they´ll kill bigger charachters though,[BLACKOUT] Zod[/BLACKOUT] was different and I was surprised that he was killed but it tells us DCCU can be dark.

I could see a hero dieing (maybe not in the first movie) but, if its like a passing of the torch thing, like Barry to Wally, or one of the lanterns dieing an a new one taking his place

but I wouldn't want it in the first movie, cause they need time to establish the character, so his/her death will actually have some meaning and make an impact... if you introduce a lesser character just to kill him off, who's going to care

Perfect solution - kill off Superman. This shoots up the tension of the movie massively as one of the most powerful Superheroes would be killed off during the movie by the main villain (Sacrificing himself to save the city?)

It would enable the focus to shift to the lesser known Justice League members and it would also minimise the budget and make it easier to write a movie where Superman is not around.

At that point Superman will have had three films - if you kill him off that also replicates 'The Death Of Superman' storyline that is probably one of the most famous be the most popular Superman storyline of all time- and with Darkseid being the main villain a 'Death Of Superman' storyline seems appropriate.

Then you can have Superman seemingly die and then reveal in an after-credits scene that he is actually badly wounded and has retreated to the artic in a newly built 'Fortress of Solitude'

Everyone would love it... You could also have him return in a sequel film and examine the situation there.
