In the Ultimate Destruction video game that he was able to control his transformation. Should this be done for the movie also? Blonsky /Abomination goes around destroying things. Transforms back to human form. Hulk takes the blame (antagonizing Banner). Pursuit of Banner intensifies. Banner looks for cure and also person behind all the destruction and chaos.

no, no, no... NO!!!

sorry but this should not happen, him not being able to transform back is what drives Abomi over the edge, its what makes him go after Bruce, he shouldnt be able to change back.

For me it doesn't really matter. I'd prefer he didn't, but in Ultimate Destruction it worked well. I feel its an unnessacary change, but if it happens eh, it's not going to really ruin my enjoyment of the film...(well unless it's done terribly.)

Nope, once the change comes (likely to happen towards the end of the movie), Blonsky should remain Abomination. Maybe in the end Banner will choose to use the cure on Blonsky rather than himself.

Exactly. It's the motivation for 2 things:

1. Moving from just being some jerk-spy to being a global threat supervillain.

2. His personal enmity with Banner/Hulk.

I love your idea, but i'mscared at the same time.
the more we develop theories, the morei'm afraid we touch the truth andit'll spoil all.
(i know i'm confused :wow::huh::cwink:)

I think that would be great, if he will be able to control his transformation in the beginning... then, he has to lose this ability and cannot change back in his human form... just like Dr. Jekyll in original R. L. Stevenson's novel. It would be so dramatic to see him, slave of power, and then unable to turn back and condemned to past his life as a monster. So, he will blame Bruce Banner for his condition and will swear to destroy him and The Hulk.

I dig this suggestion very much!!!

I say let him transform back and forth. Tim Roth would have very few time to shine if he's abo all the time.

Should his character abilities be based on a f-cking video game, are you kidding me? I'm voting no.

4 people voted yes :(....

No f*****g way. I have a feeling he may end up transforming between Blonsky and Abom several times during the movie (to give Roth more screentime) but the whole point of the character is that he CAN'T control it.

I think it's a possibility, like you said, to give Roth more screen time...
but it kinda dillutes the very essence of abomincation, and makes him like hulk2, and to most of the audience, there will be little to differentiate him from the Hulk.
I don;t think Norton will go down that routes, he knows about characterisation..

but if it's turn ok like

this could be a alright with me.

but yet, Abomination shouldn't be able top control, that's why he is what it is...

Personally, I really dont care about actors 'shining'. I want to see a movie about HULK vs ABOMINATION. The less of the actor I see, and the more of the ABOMINATION, the more I like the movie.

If we see Tim Whatshisface only once in the beginning, and he remains the ABOMINATION through out the remainder of the movie, thats good for me.

Not Personnaly :o, I think if they went through the hassle of casting actors for what I think is Acting skills, character-understanding and Audience appeal, and if on top of that they pay the bill for a famous name, then the people who are paying the bills would like to see his face on screen a bit...

You should consider that there's a "shinning" factor assoicated with an actor anyway...

ok Tim roth ain't a sure way to get bum on seats like Bruce Willis is or else, but he is a "named" actor, and we should expect more of Blonsky than Abomination (i'm trying to be reasonable here, outside the fanboy box...)

And the more abomination, the more the budget, which usually ain't a producer friendly idea...

One of the fundamentals of his character is that he cannot change back and as a result he loses the love of his life and nis attachement to humanity.

The Movie-verse is always retconning things such as this. Now the production is firmly in Marvel's hands and also with Norton obeying the source material with a passion, I can't see Abomination transforming back and forth.

I was under the impression that Abomination can't can't back..and that that fact was law.

No, he should kept mutating during the film until he completely reaches the form & then he should be so pissed that we get some major fights between the Hulk & the Abomination.

This is a very good idea, IMO and is the very definition of an acceptable compromise. It basically gives both sides what they want. Good one!

I'd rather he just keeps mutating & then can't go back human at all.

 ... but will he keep mutating until it kills him then or will/should the transformation be limited?

It would be cool if the ABOMINATION grows so strong that he's on the verge of actually killing the HULK, but is ultimately killed by himself, his own uncontrollable creation.
