Should Marvel take a "break" like dc?

Marvel has always been tragic, gritty and realistic (harry osborn drug thing). DC has been simplistic and silly and COMPLICATED. marvel defines their alt universes and theyre always distinct, where as DC seperated their heoes worlds and so were forced to throw them together to gain a universe that can even begin to compare to Marvel 616. this in itself makes marvel best. make mine marvel!

I wasn't making it personal, but you sure have with that uncalled for comment - you realise name calling just reinforces my point. So now you've changed your story - in your orginal post you stated "DC has been simplistic and silly and COMPLICATED" - now its only the the DC titles you have read. My point was your comment was incorrect and I justified it by naming a number of 'realistic' 'gritty' DC titles, and I could name a lot more. If you're going to make stupid sweeping statements, make sure you know what you're talking about. And learn to take some comments and criticism, this is a forum for discussion or debate, my comment wasn't aimed at you personally, it was a response to the comment you posted and I would have sent the same message to anyone who posted the same thing.

It also proves DC is more than capable of handling mature subject matter, something you were rather insistant that they weren't

In modern times every company goes for realism, but traditionally i always thought DC had quite a different tag. i personally can't see how you can't see what i'm talking back. surely its just a case of picking up some DC silver age books, but i dunno. im feeling a lot of aggression, here, like people are getting overly defensive of DC.
