Many of Captain America's villains are World War 2 based; The three Barons, Zemo, Strucker and Blood, Arnim Zola, Master Man, Warrior Woman, The Yellow Claw, and the list goes on and on and on. It seems to me that it'd come off as extremely convoluted to constantly retcon villains into Captain America's history for sequels....at the same time you don't want to bog First Avenger down with too many villains.

What would you prefer? a One villain Captain America, or a multi-villain one?

Red skull + baron strucker or zemo as a cameo(maybe) and master man as physical opponent for cap

Skull as the main villain, Master Man as a physical opponent and Zola as sort of a mad nazi scientist would be cool.

I think it depends on the Red Skull's plan. He has to be the main either way, but depending upon the plot, I can see a few other Cap villains being worked in really easily. Plus, if we're going to have the Invaders, it only makes sense to work in various Cap villains as well.

Red Skull is enough but I would love to see Hitler as well.

They might as well not use Baron Strucker since they have Ultimate Nick Fury instead of 616 Fury. Is there even an Ultimate Strucker? Anyway, it'll probably make more sense to have him only in modern times as leader of Hydra since Fury probably won't be from the 40s in the filmverse.

Baron Zemo would be okay, but I would be fine with just Red Skull.

well since most of the news we have been hearing is that skull is the villain. He probably will be the only one. Though i wouldnt mind if another like zemo had a small role/supporting role.

I think, for the first film, Red Skull should be the main villain.
But they could show other bad guys, like Baron Zemo, in the background. And Hitler here and there in the movie. Zemo was a high ranking Nazi scientist so it would be reasonable that he would be seen in the background. Even when he is the bad guy [BLACKOUT](like causing Bucky's death)[/BLACKOUT] it was ordered by Red Skull.
Zemo would be easy because of his mask. Just have a guy in a Nazi uniform wearing the mask walking around the back. So if they haven't cast him yet it wouldn't matter. So a scene could show Red Skull talking to Hitler, and we could see Zemo in the background. Maybe even Hitler or Red Skull orders him by name to do something.
But the main focus should be Red Skull.

Later on, in sequels, they can show the bad guys working together a bit (because they do seem organized), like how in the comics now Doctor Faustus and Arnim Zola, or maybe Madame Hydra, was working with the Red Skull, and showing Crossbones as a hired gun.

I think if the Invaders are involved you could get a way with a few Barons in there.
You don't want to X-Men it up though. Red Skull is fine by himself. I would just include Zemo because he was the original cause of death for Bucky and Cap.

How about Hydra as a set up for the Avengers? Let Hydra be the secret driving force behind the Nazis and Red Skull. Perhaps Hydra gets some help from Loki and together they break out Abomination to go on a global rampage. That would work well for The Avengers IMHO.

I think Zemo should be there. A young Baron Strucker could have a place as well.

I'd rather just have Red Skull and focus on Cap's relationship with him.

well yea skull definately needs to be the main focused villain. But there is still plently of time and placement to have a scene or two with him and hitler, or even zemo guy.

These four.
