Should ROgue be asked to leave Xavier's?

I think rogue will stick around for a few months and her relationship with bobby will fizzle out and she'll decide to do the travelling she wanted to do and turn up like 2 yrs later with her powers going haywire. As for storm personally she may be disgusted with rogue but after the deaths and now her being leader she'll treat rogue like before.

Enter Emma Frost

I'm sorry, who? Rogue is 10 times more popular then Emma ever was or ever will be.

I said that because you said who's going to replace the Jean size role. I said Emma because; 1. She's also a telepath (basically the same powers as Jean 2. she's older than Rogue (so she could also be a teacher like Jean) 3. She's more popular than you give her credit for. Rogue being 10 times more popular is stretching it quite a bit. They put the right woman in that role and do the character justice, we'll see what the difference is in popularity.

-Baredevil, I agree with what you said about Moira. That would be a good idea. I hope it happens kinda more than Emma, simply because I think the whole Hellfire Club Emma is supposed to and probably should come first.

Yes, but would Rogue treat HER like before?

Storm : "There's nothing to cure! You wanna know why? Because there's nothing WRONG with you! There's nothing wrong...eHhhhHkkkKkhhh...."
Rogue : "Shut UP! I want the cure, b*tch!"

Yo, Rogue can suck the life out of you. This just shows how much more lethal the character could've been, instead of the lovelorn Southern belle they made her out to be.

jaysus, that pic is so creepy! Storm looks like the Crypt Keeper

LMAO...thats exactly what storm need in that scene..lol

This is a very interesting topic, ive been reading other peoples post & amazed of the answer's posters have been giving. to me this is a double standard & difficult question. : professor xavier took rouge in to help her with her powers & to seek santuarary from the outside world. All out through x-men men movies, rouge has made a bond with xavier, storm, iceman, colossus, & especially logan/wolverine.

throught these movies we seen her struggles, her growth , her evolution to shall we say a buttefly. yes in the 3rd movie she still is conflicted, & at the end we see her make her choice. (she took the cure & now she is normal, free to live a life in peace).

now here is where the difficulty setting comes in. would it be right if xavier & the others sent her home since she is not a mutant anymore???: on one hand it really wouldn't be right, but if the school can't teach her anything anymore than she should go home to live in prosper.

but on the other hand, thier is the bond that rouge made with the others & wolverine. i think it would be kind of harsh for professor xavier & the others to just cut her off & pretend what they went through over the years never happened.

thats just like your own family disowning you because you got well & your not sick anymore like they are. hmmmmm thiers so many sides & out comes to this, ill give my reason's later. i need a little more time to think about this.

but this is a very good topic by the way, we need more of these.

Haha, at first people may turn their back on her, but for the guys, once she takes part in some activities with them, that should quickly turn around.

I said send her packing

Not that I think it's an easy answer. Rogue may not have anywhere else to go, and clearly she's become close with others at the Mansion and part of the family.

But let's face it: it's a school/safe haven for mutant kids. Rogue is no longer a mutant. There's nothing there for her to learn there, and, to be brutally honest, she's taking up resources meant for other mutant kids that might come along.

Besides, with the potential social stigma from her peers, she might not really wanna stick around....

Not that they should toss her out on the street, but maybe start pointing her in a different direction of what to do with her life....take some community college courses, start looking for a job, etc - she's got to be about 18 or 19 at least now, right?

Someone needs some help.

Oh, come on. Like everyone wasn't thinking Rogue should do that when ms. "I control the weather" started telling Rogue there's nothing wrong with her powers.

I was pretty mad at Storm for that - talk about transferring your own issues onto someone else.

Just a note - there is no "over the years". X1 to X3 all happen within a one year time frame for the character which has nothing to do with the years it took to get all three films out. While yes she has bonded with these people it's not like it's been years of her life which is another reason I don't get all mushy about how she must stay at the school when it is for characters who are mutants learning to use their powers. She is not doing that anymore and she does have a family out there. Kick her out? - no but why she wouldn't eventually leave I expect to happen pretty quickly as she's going to find she still doesn't fit in - at least not there anymore.

I don't think it was a 1 year time frame; the fact that there's a new president hurts that theory.

She was offended by this serum being referred to as a "cure" & then heard another mutant embrace the notion. It's an understandable reaction.

Like I said, Storm was pretty much on the rag throughout the movie.

Saving all of mankind & still having to hide from them while they look for new ways to get rid of you tends to sour your disposition.

I can understand her being offended by the "cure", but she never seemed to stop and think about Rogue's situation. It was even more annoying of her considering it came almost straight after Beast had basically told her "we're not all hawt lookin, lightning throwin gods, ya know".

I get Rogue's situation, & yes it sucks, but part of wearing that black leather uniform is accepting & embracing who you are. All she was basically saying was that being a mutant isn't a virus. You can't cure mutation; you can only undo it.
