Sequels SHOULD Singer even return to the X-Men franchise?

Sound Singer return?

  • Yes, I want things to go possibly back to the way they were.

  • No, I want to see what someone else can do with the franchise.

  • Don't really care as long as the franchise lives back up to its potential.

I like his X-films but hey've never been anything really special to me. I'm have no doubt that he'll make another perfectly decent sometimes good X-Men movie but I'd like a great one, one of these days.

As for Superman Returns...it was a disaster.

Agreed. I don't think he wanted to leave X-Men in the first place.

I strongly agree with you on this...Having a chance to make a Superman film was to big a temptation for him... and who could blam him it was Superman for Gods sake...

I agree. While I like X-Men and X2 were great, I think there is another director who can take the franchise to another level. Unfortunately, the only other director for X-Men was Ratner, who can make just about any other director look good. So we are stuck with Singer now, for better or worse.

I'm mostly indifferent to Singer returning. I thought his X films were good, not great, but at least he ought to be better than the previous two directors.

thats reason enough to be happy about it.

isnt it?

I personally think Bryan Singer revolutionized adaption of comic-book characters and stories on film with X1 and X2. By incorporating them within a real world and adapting those stories with some global world issues. Films such as Batman Begins, Iron Man are all inspired in a way by Singer's vision and work he had done. So definitely I think Singer should continue the franchise.

Now that Singer is officially back (yay!), I think this question has been answered, so I'm going to close this one down. We can continue the discussion in the new threads.
