The Dark Knight Rises Should the Nolanverse Continue After Batman III?

I assume they're going to go with Batman Beyond once this trilogy is done and start looking for a Terry McGuinness.

This wouldn't surprise me at all. I would expect either Batman Beyond or The Dark Knight Returns being adapted after the third movie or even a possible fourth.
I wouldn't oppose the idea but I'd rather see continuous "classic" Batman movies simular to the James Bond franchise or a live action series.

Oye. There's unlimited potential for Batman movies that no one ever uses because they are most likely terrified no one will go see it (general audience wise). I would very much like to see a trilogy with Robin where, it's not campy and Robin is actually a deep and likable character. I know I'm dreaming though.

I think they should continue the Nolanverse after the 3rd film. Put it in the hands of Johnathan Nolan, with Chris consulting if he would like much like he's doing with Superman. Try their best to bring back all the key players, and crew. Wally Pfister is a must.

Of course all of this depends on how the 3rd film plays out.
