Nah. I love the original trilogy and the characters within, but I also realize it's a really dumb idea to fill your franchise for kids with a bunch of geriatric actors just to pander to nerds on the internet.
Luke, Han, and Leia had their time to shine in the OT just like Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Padme had their time in the PT. Time to let a new crew have the limelight.
There was a bridge and a lot of connections (besides the Skywalker storyline) between the PT and OT. That same bridge and connection should continue from the OT into the sequel trilogy (ST).
Harrison Ford, Mark Hammil, and Carrie Fisher in 90% of the scenes of all three movies? No, probably not. A prominent part of the storyline? Start printing money.
Sure, you have to keep the franchise fresh for kids and future customers/consumers. But there are already established decades-long longtime fans (or nerds on the internet as you call them) that are ready to take their families to the movies to see "their" Star Wars.
It might be a generational thing. The thing is, there is more than one generation that is extremely tied to the OT. There is plenty of time to start fresh and do something new. Unlimited time as a matter of fact.
