But they don't fear him anymore - look at the ending of BvS.In the comics maybe. In this universe so far, he's more like the remote alien figure and muscle. Unless they seriously change his characterisation, he doesn't seem like the one to lead the team. It should be someone with more humanity and heart and whom the general public relate to rather than fear.
He used to, but he doesn't anymore.Batman doesn't seem fit to lead if he's going round branding people and even trying to kill Superman. He can just be a tactician and resourcer.
I would not support any iteration of JL where Superman isn't front and center.
He is the natural leader and foundation of the team.
There's no need for a single lead character. The trio of Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman have always been the centerpiece of DC adaptations. That won't change.
If it's a choice between woderwoan or the emo/mute/mopey superman and the psychotic Batman the yeah I'd say Diana is the best choice by far.
I would say yes she should be for right now but I doubt Warner Brothers would make her the lead.
Gal Gadot naked and painted blue?
*ducks*
Who is Woderwoan?![]()
no.
in fact I am wondering if Wonder Woman even has any potential in the DCEU outside of Justice League or her own solo films.
Superman isn't in half of JL though. They seem to be doing fine without him.
I think folks aren't seeing what I'm saying. It's not about who should lead the JL.
What I'm saying, and what Collider also alluded to, is this: For the purposes of the DCEU film universe, Wonder Woman being the lead character makes a whole lot of sense because she isn't polarizing. Audiences love this version of WW and they love Gal. She was lauded as the best thing in BvS and her film is currently sitting at 92% on RT. WW being the lead character, and by that I mean "the character that moves the story forward", in this overall DCEU universal arc seems to be the way to go.
Like with the Avengers, we could argue back and forth about who's the leader of the Avengers, Cap or Stark or maybe even Nick Cage. But the MCU's central character is Iron Man, at least to me anyway. That's what I'm talking about here.
So it's not if Wonder Woman should lead the JL, but should her character be the core, the center point of the DCEU?
There's a reason they were called the SUPER friends, not WONDER friends.
Superman is the foundation for the DC universe as well as the Justice League. This has never been up for debate. You can remove Batman and Wonder Woman from the equation and the concept would still work. It wouldn't be as good but it would still work.
Without Superman though the whole thing would feel incomplete.
