Kyle XY. Absolutely one of the most creative and new shows I've seen in a LONG time. I loved the characters. It was almost like an original superhero show...minus costumes. Very cool stories. They just gave it later and later showtimes and the ratings dropped.

I had heard good things about Arrested Development from friends and my sister's boyfriend. I'm already a huge fan of Michael Cera and Jason Bateman. Finally caught an episode on G4 the other day and I was ROLLING! I'm glad my sis bought the entire series on itunes!

Also, I haven't read through the entire thread, but did anyone mention Joan of Arcadia? I thought that was a pretty cool show.

California Dreams lasted 4 seasons...that's "catching on"

Nikki - a sitcom on WB with Nikki Cox, basically trying to capitalize on her Unhappily Ever After popularity

Arrested Developement was on for 3 seasons and it's considered to have "not caught on". It was critically aclaimed but it just didn't have a great audience for some reason. Probably just a bad time slot.

I'm right there with you on Nikki. Wrestling, good comedy, and a totally hot and sexy female star.

Good God! I've NEVER seen that picture before! Does she STILL look like that? I hope whatever cosmetic surgery she had done was just temporary, like Barbera Hershey did for Beaches.

I would like to point out that even the most beautiful people in the world take a bad picture every once in a while. Nikki was obviously forcing herself to smile, which always causes unflattering looking smile lines. This is a very bad picture of her. She'll probably look much better if she's smiling naturally. Show me another picture of her from after that awards show where she looks like crap and I might concede that she's lost her looks. But I don't tend to judge people off of just ONE picture.

i know there will be many that i've forgotten but here's a couple

Young Americans (starred unknowns kate bosworth and ian somerhalder)
Undressed (a lot of now celebs were once on this)
Unhappily Ever After
Roswell (hated the last season/way it ended though)
California Dreams
Spyder Games ( i think that was the name, was on MTV)

someone mentioned these shows that i loved:
The Critic!
Just the 10 of Us

we need to establish what "catching on" means....both Unhappily Ever After and California Dreams lasted 4 seasons, for a sitcom that's usually the bechmark of success

American Gothic, It had a Stephen King feel to it. :yay:

Undressed (a lot of now celebs were once on this)

 Undressed never caught on??! It was on for Six seasons, but yea I loved that show.

Does any one rember tgif friday sticom called teen angel? it was about this kid who died. he becomes this angel. only his friend can see him. he helps his friend out. it was good show.

I remember that. Didn't they used to show that on The Family Channel, too?

I think that show started on FOX, thought I could be mistaken

there was a sitcom on CBS called 'Double Rush' that ran for a season, it was about a bunch of bike messengers, I really liked it

i dunno. i guess my definition is a bit different. I added those shows because they weren't critically acclaimed and watched by the masses I guess.
but i also liken shows like Arrested Development to this category. It just didn't get the ratings and acclaim it should have
