Siege Ends The Avengers

Just as long as the Beyonder isn't a mutant Inhuman anymore.
Bendis and Reed both said at the time that that whole issue was constructed as a giant convolution, with the question of whether any of that was true or just some game completely up in the air.

Even though that's most definitely NOT the new lineup, I'd be cool with it. I can live with [BLACKOUT]The Thing (he was technically a West Coast Avenger once)[/BLACKOUT], but there would need to be another female. She-Hulk, Scarlet Witch, Spider-Woman, Ms. Marvel, take your pick. I'm thrilled that [BLACKOUT]Hawkeye[/BLACKOUT] is finally back. If it is the team who would be the leader, I wonder???

Do you guys think they'll do the ASM thing(3 times a month) for the new Avengers title or even make it bi-weekly and do you think it's still going to be just Bendis writing? I mean he's been on the Avengers long enough he could really focus on something else.

I'd be all for that. Bendis and Slott as the two main guys and then 2 other guys that rotate in and out.

I doubt they'll make Avengers anything other than a monthly comic. The only way it'd really work is if there were other creators working on it the way they do on ASM--except ASM has the advantage of being entirely about one character. If other creators are working with different rosters in Avengers, people might feel shortchanged because they pick up the comic one week and it's not "their" team, or people might just drop the title for those weeks.

Yeah. THat's an overabundance of sausage and Black Widow's not a strong enough female character to be the only female on the team. Otherwise asides from the redundance of Beast and Gorilla-Man. I could get behind this roster.

They're not redundant just 'cause they both look like animals! :argh:
They are both strong animal like human beings with brute strength and great agility, who also happen to have snarky senses of humor. The only difference is Ken would be the brawn and Hank would be the bronze.

Ah gottcha...it would be awesome.

Also, the roster needs more Rocket Raccoon.

If this is a Bendis approved Roster and not one forced on him. I'm surprised not to see Luke, Ms. Marvel (who should be here anyways), and Spider-Woman.

Also if this was a random mashup of characters for the big franchises. Why the hell Gorilla-Man and Beast? Surely, they'd put Wolverine to represent the X-Men. You know they would.

Also they may be trying to push Gorilla-Man's team, but he's just such a random out there character to use to represent the outer universe of Marvel. Black Widow I can understand. The only reason she's getting so much push right now is because of Iron Man 2.

Yeah guys, I dont think this is the official roster either. After all, it says Heroic Age on top, not Avengers.

You know, I dont know if this idea was thrown out there, but how about having one Cap (Steve or Bucky) on the Avengers and the other in the solo book? Like how the JLA used to have John Stewart on the team a while back. It'd be a decent way to keep both characters around.

I have doubts about this being the new line-up. Beast and Thing both have their markings from other teams on, and while I know Reed and Sue both wore 4s when they had their brief stint as Avengers, that was always supposed to be a temporary set-up. Plus I think Marvel is too fond of the Agents of Atlas to move one of its members. Still, I actually wouldn't MIND this as the team, other than the need for another woman (*crosses fingers for Photon*). Clint as Hawkeye again is great (and that had BETTER be Clint!), plus the Newsarama article speculates that that might be Steve in the newer Cap uniform after all (though I don't object to Bucky).

Because Beast pretty much represents the heroic aspect of the X-Men right now while Wolverine represents the more grim and gritty aspects of the X-Men.

Wolverine sells more than Beast though. Unfortunately. AND That would DEFINITELY be Marvel's line of thinking.

Yes because Bendis needs Wolverine for his comic to sell. It's so obvious.

Also, I too doubt that this is not the Avengers roster. It lacks Steve Rogers, which USA Today is saying that the "reborn" Captain America is on the team. Beast is wearing his X-Men uniform once more. I just can't see an Agent of Atlas monkey joining the Avengers like Congorilla on the Justice League. And I just can't see Bendis not putting Mockingbird and Ms. Marvel on the team.
