Superman Returns Singer mentioned that this would vaguely tie in with Smallville, how so???

whoa chill. it's no big deal.

That pairing is going to be interesting to watch. Remember that ep where Lex realized the only things important in life were money and power? I want to see how he reacts to lana trying to get in his expensive pants. Yes, this will interesting indeed.
 Yes...very interesting to watch...But i`m done watching Smallville...its too much a bastardization for me. These guys have no respect for the characters that are so important to Supermans mythology. Thanks Singer isn`t following this route. Leave that for a crappy Tv show that tries but we`ll never be about Superman. At least not the one we`ve known for 60 years.

LMAO thanks Singer who is butchering the mytho's more so than smallville could ever hope to you really may want to re-think that statment based on Singers bastardization of a plot......:(

A love triangle with superman and Lois and Richard white and a love child from superman that she has NO IDEA where came from......

Yeh find me a comic about superman/Lois with a story line he is following......

Oh wait you cannot because he is making it up to suit his movie and even had to make comics from the end of superman 2 to lead upto SR to fit it in
to the mytho's because it wasn't there before yet smallville bothers you somehow..........

Ouch.

[Ducks and runs]

Waves to Milkman on the way out. :p

No need to re-think it, SV has taken a TON more liberties, which doesn't bother me, but that's the truth. Singer introduced a kid that we don't know anything about yet, and he's returning. How is that a bastardization? I've heard it all now...............

You've read the script? If that's what you call a bastardization, I could name a ton more on SV than just this.

Singer is referencing comics as well as the Donner films. Why can't you understand this? It's a great story of what happens to a world without Superman - not only does he have an enemy in Lex, he's also got challenges emotionally. What's wrong with that? With him returning it fits our world with it taking so long to get a Superman film as well as it being a clever way to re-introduce him back to the world within the film............

Hilarious, nice to see you. I'm surprised you haven't responded to some of the harsher stuff in here about SV. You probably don't think it's worth your time though, correct?

What an idiot.

Theres no evidence or proof at all that the child is Superman's. It most likely isnt.

There probably wont be much of a love triangle either and it will end with Superman accepting Lois has moved on.

The only real liberty Singer has taken is putting Lois with Richard and giving them a child. There was probably a good reason storywise why he went in that direction so lets see it first before trashing it.

I dont mind Smallville taking liberties. Its just usually the execution of those liberties is quite poor. To me, its all about the execution and thats the basis of how I'll judge this one liberty in SR.

As far as the comics go, there will be alot of tie-ins with Superman Returns coming up. This isnt supposed to be a comic-book movie anyways as many have stated.

I've said it once and I'll say it again there is only one way to know if the baby is Superman's: Take Supes, Lois and Richard on the Maury Povich Show

Thats probably the one reason why we wont get a storyline like that...

And because I doubt theyll actually go into the specific plot points of Superman II in detail (where Lois and Clark have sex). The movie is designed for people who dont even have to see the Donner flicks to understand it. Superman in this movie is the embodiment of their collective memory and impressions of the character.

Maury: "The result are in, I have them in this enevelope *opens* Clark.......................You are NOT the Father

Clark::eek: Whoooo hoooo suck on these Krypton rocks!!!

*Jimmy randomly pops out from backstage and high fives him and hugs*
*Lois looks pissed off, Richard Distraught*

Its pretty easy to see...

SMALLVILLE - 'Rewriting Supermans Origin and characters'.

SUPERMAN RETURNS - 'Continuing the Superman mythos and adding a new story'.

I think whats great here is Superman has always been this perfect boyscout one dimensional dude who always got the girl, and everyone loved him.

Whats great here is hes finally in a position where he most likely wont get the girl, and the world has forgotten about him in his absense.

Its some cool unexplored territory for the character that should add some new, more human, elements to him.

when i look at singer i see a normal inteligent man. i dont see an idiot.
this story would be to simple for him. it would be to dumb. when we first heard about the kid we already thought about superman beeing the father. singer would not let us down with that simple story.

So my opinion makes me an idiot???

Well your's makes you a flaming MORON get it DIP**** and a Singer SUCKUP.
He has taken more than one liberty and you just sweep them under the rug with your smallville hatred good for you MORON.

Maybe it isn't his kid who know's you don't either and your opinion is no more valid than mine get it.
I easily see him taking as many liberties as smallville if you don't fine but again your opinion means jack and **** to me and jack left town get it.

I do understand what he is doing and I do not like it get that....
I do not like the story and I have posted many times that’s what I fear may kill the movie Singers vision.
See I can be condescending as well...... but I am sure it will not change your opinion like you being condescending to me doesn't change mine get that....

Yo ******....its not an opinion that makes you an idiot, its because you got your facts wrong. You never stated that believing it was 'Superman's child' was an opinion...you stated it as fact.

Theres no evidence supporting that in reality and that was what I pointed out.

I know its hard but try to use your brain once in a while...

Yep once being condescending not good enough just need to keep taking jabs huh........
Yeh I say Singer is bastardizing the plot like he did the X-men hero's to his vision which I am not all that fond of get it or should I expect another condescending post from you being an ahole.

Everything I post is my opinion fracking DIP**** sheesh a MORON in every crowd to bad you are a SInger suckup and cannot see the world through your own eyes.....

I'm acting that way towards you because you're just flat-out mistaken, no big deal.

How exactly is one's opinion flat out wrong please explain that to me everything I post is merely my opinion good or bad and get this my opinion changes to so I may like his plot who knows I won't until I see it and will come here and have my crow if I am wrong happily to because I really want the movie to do well but from what I have read seen I am worried.
