Hey everyone.

Like Dvd's and books, what are some marvel issues that people must have in their collection?

These single issues could be an outstanding, incredible story, the origin of a villain, etc

Try and keep away from saying "Amazing Spider-man #1" or any other first issue in a series unless it is a must.

So repeating the question, what is a single issue that should be a must in a persons collection

Of course, you could easily fill pages and pages of must own Marvel Comics...I won't post any that are so dang expensive, like the first appearance of Wolverine; but, reasonable enough that almost any Joe could afford it.

Here is my first, still reasonable enough for the first appearance of Rogue:

Plus; the printed out Avengers Charter was kick ass.

I'd say the Sensational Spider-Man Annual that came out a few years back. Definately one of the better Spider-Man stories I've read.

The second part to this where he marries the Black Cat instead was pretty good too.

My must-have comic of the day. While it might be pricey, you can get it for under 50 bucks on ebay if you look hard. That's how I got a recent copy:

Something about this issue has always stuck with me. I always felt this was Wolverine and Sabretooth's best fight. Maybe it's just me.

Must-Have of the day, featuring the first appearance of the current Union Jack:

Hard to believe that there as a time that John Byrne could do no wrong...

I know! He did such amazing work back in the 80's. His work with Fantastic Four at that time was awesome, and probably my favorite time in F4 history. Even his short run on Incredible Hulk from issues 314-319 was significant; it's just Shooter had a problem with it for some reason. I thought he was making those Hulk comics a lot more interesting.
