Let's put it this way: saying that PAD writes Layla better in X-Factor than how Bendis wrote her in House of M is like saying Wolverine has sex with Asian women.TheCorpulent1 said:Oh, I never read what Bendis did with Layla in House of M. She's been pretty good in X-Factor, though. Is PAD writing her better?
Exactly. So should we give Bendis credit for providing the dirt that future writers ran with, or acknowledge that...that...he's not perfect and may even be overrated at times, but he's Marvel's cash cow so they believe he can write anything...which he can't. No writer can.TheCorpulent1 said:By that logic Liefeld deserves credit for taking Deathstroke, filtering him through the '90s schlock machine, and turning him into Deadpool. I'll continue to heap my praise on Joe Kelly for actually making Deadpool a readable character instead, thank you.

At least not WELL. But what matters is sales. Trust me, if it could guarentee a Top 5 book, Marvel'd hire Micheal Jackson to write an X-book.

I'd definitely buy a Michael Jackson X-book. The exciting new... opportunities... that could open up for the school would be mind-boggling.Darthphere said:You say that like it wouldnt.![]()

TheCorpulent1 said:That was a conspiracy. The truth is, they were just jealous of Michael. He got to be a werewolf, a zombie, a robot, a captain of a starship, AND the goddamn Scarecrow. That jury was just ignorant.![]()

Exactly, but Liefeld deserves SOME credit, just very littleTheCorpulent1 said:By that logic Liefeld deserves credit for taking Deathstroke, filtering him through the '90s schlock machine, and turning him into Deadpool.
