I try to justify it, that he needed to save face in front of his Triad Members, so he doesn't come across like a weak *****. But yeah, it seemed like he cared too much.

and they always have different dialogue! Ive come out of that apartment so many times and I havent seen them say the same thing yet. They add absolutely nothing to the story, yet I love them. This really goes a long way in giving the environment life and personality and its kinda cool that UFG went out of their way to include them.

That mom is crazy though. Last night after calling her daughter some nasty names, next time I came out I saw her arguing with some guy who said she sleeps with gangster and mom had the nerve to say her daughter was a virgin. I was like lady, every has been hearing your conversations the last few days....lol

Sleeping Dogs October DLC Revealed

The first piece of DLC for Square's open-world Hong Kong adventure has been unveiled.

The first batch of DLC packs for Sleeping Dogs will be released in October.
The five packs, which range from offering new races and vehicles to adding new missions to the game, will be released periodically throughout the month.


First up, the Street Racer Pack will add a new car, bike and boat race, as well as a new Sting superbike, a Dragon Helmet and a Racing Jacket with extra protection against gun fire. This will be followed by the SWAT Pack, which will add 20 new, replayable cop missions, alongside a unique SWAT outfit and van. Then the new Tactical Soldier Pack will offer players the most powerful weapons and armour in the game, while the Community Gift Pack will be completely free and contain a surprise for players.


The October DLC will culminate with the first story-driven game extension, which will be detailed at this year's New York Comic Con on October 14. This marks the start of the proper DLC content for the game, which we previously heard would last for at least six months.

This news is amazing bc i was wondering if there would be any mission based DLC. Playing through the cases, it made me think that would be a perfect idea to introduce DLC.

Three DLC packs for Sleeping Dogs launch today for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC: The Street Racer pack runs $4 (320 MS Points), the Tactical Soldier pack is $2 (160 MS Points), and the Community Gift pack is free (otherwise it wouldn't be much of a gift).

Street Racer adds three new races on land and sea, titled Kamikaze, Cross Island Enduro and Harbor Run – the last of which is the water-based race, if that wasn't obvious. This pack includes a new Sting racing bike and a Dragon outfit.

Tactical Soldier includes the assault rifle, known as "the game's most powerful and destructive weapon," and the strongest armor of the game, the Tactical outfit. The Community Gift pack includes wardrobe items from developer United Front Games, for United Front Games: a studio t-shirt, a UFG-themed, environmentally friendly compact car and a luchador mask, which is apparently some sort of inside joke for the development team.

All three packs are available right now, so get racing, tactician-ing and wrestling, we guess.

Still haven't had a chance to pick this up yet, but after seeing all of the DLC announced and released, I think I might wait until there's a complete version somewhere down the road.

It'd be sweet if this got a Goty both the actual award and and edition so that fans and other gamers that have yet to touch can enjoy.

If, for some reason, you want to play Sleeping Dogs DLC that doesn't involve jiangshi – even though we honestly can't imagine someone feeling that way – two more DLC packs are available today.

The Screen Legends pack, featuring "Lightning Warrior" and "Wing Chun Master outfits," and the SWAT Pack, featuring a SWAT van and uniform, are available on Steam and PS3 now; they have yet to show up on Xbox, but we expect to see them tomorrow.
