Sleeping Dogs

I didn't notice any inaccuracies with the pistols? I was able to get head shots every time.

Yea neither did I. They were almost too accurate, I never had a problem during the gunfights

yeah the shooting in this game was on point, never had any trouble with the gunfights. If anything, I wanted to replay alot of them just because of the carnage I caused

Found all the lockboxes, usually in most open-world games I don't even bother to 100% when it comes to collectibles but here it's different, it's fun to find and are rewarding, perhaps it's because they have just the right amount.

How do you get the Bruce Lee outfit? I read it's behind the temple, but I got that ages ago and didn't get it then.

Which one, theres like 3? The yellow track suit tho? Its hidden in a lock box behind the temple but you need to be a Face level 8 to use it. Check in ur wardrobe under preset outfits.

Ya that's the one. The lockbox immediately behind the temple? Does it not show up until you're level 8? Cuz I definitely got that lockbox and there's nothing in my presets that resembles that outfit.

Nah it should be there man, even if u don't have the right face level. Head back to the temple and make sure u got the right box.

Read this on Gamefaqs. Whenever I picture it in my mind, I can't stop laughing. :lmao: I so have to try this myself.

Does anyone get the high roller suit unlocked as a Preset Outfit, after the kidnapping mission? Because I don't. And apparently neither do a lot of other people online.

Just a heads up but TRU is having a Buy 2 games for $60 deal next week and the titles include:

Amazing Spiderman
Arkham City
Battlefield 3
Darksiders 2
Mass Effect 3
Max Payne 3
Modern Warfar 3
NCAA Football 13
Prototype 2
Sleeping Dogs

If you were waiting to pick this up for $30, its the way to go. I have a $25 gift card Ive been trying to get rid of for a year so I think I might just pick this up and assuming the TIV holds, flip another copy to Amazon or BB

Damn, nice titles on there, i have all of them tho(minus Darksiders and Prototype)

Finished the game. Even though I started Darksiders 2 before it, I couldn't put the controller out of my hands once I started the game. Easily enjoyed this more than any GTA game and I'm looking forward to a sequel. Hopefully that will have some dialogue options or choices that affect the story and also girlfriends that are more than a short fling and unlock stuff on the map for you.

Agreed on these points, branching choices would've been great addition, like in the level of Splinter Cell's Double Agent. Making some choices that you could risk your undercover but also since throughout the story [BLACKOUT]Raymond and Pendrew keep mentioning your attachment to the Sun On Yee that in the end you'd have to make a choice between the two.[/BLACKOUT]

Yea that would of been really cool and i thought they did a great job of making the player actually like the members of the Triads.

I would have never thought it, but when [BLACKOUT]Winston was killed at his wedding, i was kind of pissed and even more so when they offed Jackie[/BLACKOUT]. Throughout the game i had to keep telling myself i was a cop. Thought United Front did a great job there.

[BLACKOUT]Yeah they really did good making you sympathize with the triads, even Wei himself is an interesting protagonist. The wedding mission was a highlight over making you conflicted over you duties and Jackie's death is real sad considering he has decided that the life of a triad isn't for him.[/BLACKOUT]

I really hopes the game sold well that UFG has a chance to do a kickass sequel.

I like that the Triads, well, at least Uncle Po and his most loyal, had a code of conduct. Like when they told me to make an example of the guy, [BLACKOUT]who they repeatedly told not to sell drugs to school girls. Or Broken Nose Jiangs plan, to find more profitable ways to make money, that doesn't involve things like prostitution.[/BLACKOUT]

And that whole we are brothers, family, we take care of each other, I liked too. Really made you, the player, think that these guys aren't too bad. Yeah, they are criminals, but they weren't the worst scum. [BLACKOUT]That whole wedding scenario really pissed me off too. Like Shen said, Winston was red pole, he had it coming, but Peggy didn't deserve this. I was really hoping she was still alive, when Winston told me to get her out. But she was already dead.[/BLACKOUT]

Are there more than one in the temple area? The one I got is in the path directly behind the temple.

I'm playing from the beginning again. Where do I find Jackie Chan's Rumble in the Bronx outfit? Unlocked it in my last game, but never paid attention to when and where.

I think you have to complete the martial arts clubs, I don't know if it's tied to a specific club but since there's only four clubs overall you'll get it one point or another.

So, what is the veredict?
Is the game worth of a purchase? Did it meet your expectations?

I easily clocked in almost 20 hours on my first playthrough. Well, close to 22 with all the checkpoint reloads and now I'm on my 2nd one and taking my time. IMO, well worth the full price. The fighting, the driving, shooting, parkour, it's all so much fun. The story, characters and voice actors are top notch. Maybe it's not up there with GTA as much as size of the city and all the random crap you can do goes, but I had so much more fun with it than with any other GTA game. They never grabbed me enough to finish any of them. IMO, damn worth the full price.

Got the Manhatten Melee after just doing the North Point and Central Fight Club. For anyone else who wants to know.
