Smash Bros + Ninja Gaiden = TMNT!?

GASP! Ow I just hate you Xbox! Why can't we get that on the PS network, or even the Wii downloadable games? Why is it always xbox that gets the really good stuff. Cause I would love to play this game. Man... am I gonna have to buy an xbox?

You could just go buy an NES. Much cheaper.

"but on the other hand, it's practically guaranteed to feel derivative of Super Smash Bros. because of that."

That's a bad thing?
Depends on your perspective. I would like the game to have some identity of its own rather than be identical to Smash Bros. but with TMNT characters.

I couldn't care less about a game's "identity" (whatever that means). I only care if it's good or bad.

Yeah, I'm not a big TMNT fan, but this looks to be awesome. Count me in.

Hmm. Is that actual gameplay, or just a cinematic sequence for the trailer? 'Cause all the comic book effects interrupting the fight might get annoying, plus the gameplay (if it is that) seemed markedly slower and clunkier than Smash Bros.'

Gotta wait and see more, I suppose.

That has to be cinematics. There were screenshots in the Nintendo Power from a few months ago and it didn't look like that at all.

Not sure how to feel about this game yet... I love TMNT and have been hoping for a new game for awhile, a smash bros type game isn't what I expected but it could be good. That trailer doesn't give me enough about the game to have much of an opinion yet. Sure I'll end up getting it, it's TMNT game and it's on Wii, right now the only other Wii game I still own is Mario Kart, and I kinda want another.

Kind of annoys me that they boast that it's not tied in to anything, like a movie or cartoon. Yet their designs are clearly recycled CGI-TMNT-Movie skins. They couldn't make em look a little different? More comic bookish?

Probably cinematics. I never liked it when adaptations of comics tried to the the panel thing. Like in Ultimate Spider-Man, the cinematics were annoying to watch with all the panels. If I'm watching a video game movie (God forbid) I don't want to see buttons popping up on screen like I'm playing God Of War.

Amazing. Though I could go either way on those damn Rabbids. Actually, Rayman himself would have been teh awesum!

FUGITOID! :D :D :D

Not really sure about the Rabbids. I'm not a huge fan of them and, frankly, I'd prefer to see more TMNT characters rather than have spots wasted on them. But whatever.

Isn't the Nightwatcher just Raphael in different clothes?

As the Nightwatcher he'll probably be able to use the chains.

Yeah, I figured. Just odd to me that they included an alter-ego as a separate character.

I hope that they use characters from the entire Turtles lore. I really wouldn't mind to see Slash or that robot Turtle.

I would love to see the Silver Sentry, Man Ray, and Ninjara. Some of my favorites from across various TMNT continuities.

And not to forget Usagi Yojimbo. He'd be a great addition.

Definitely. Although, now that we're getting into Archie characters and indie comics characters, I wonder if they would actually be able to work out the rights to get them into the game. Archie Comics owns Ninjara, for example, not Mirage.

I was looking for a couple more videos on youtube that we might haven't seen yet. These are mostly from E3, so way late, but they haven't been posted on here.
