What's boring? Going to the gym, eating healthily, and not smoking? Or are you talking about people who spray everything they touch with disinfectant and eat only cage-free eggs for breakfast?

There's a difference between being a boring person who never wants to take a risk and not wanting to put your health at risk for no good reason. You have the right to do what you want with your own body, Ace, but the difference between the two is pretty clear.

LOLZ Yea the latter man! I go to the gym, eat healthily and all that jazz, but i also smoke. I don't think it's a biggy.

Yea "***** footing around" and being too "health and safety consicous" would be the worst thing in the world. I get health and safety inspectors on my site sometimes, checking the alkali levels in the soil and crap like that and fining ya for not wearing a hard hat or smoking in the undesignated area. I tell em it's MY building site, not theirs but it doesn't make any difference, they are pathetic. Man I would hate to be like that!

You sound like you derive excitement and pleasure from living dangerously lol. I'll save all that business for amusement parks and such

That's an extreme example. You can find one of those in any subject that allows you to be anal-retentive. Like smoking. I can name more smokers who are so dependent on their cigs that they make their day revolve around their next fix than I can the health nuts I know.

Well maybe thats my problem, I haven't been to an amusement park in aaaagggggeeeesssss!

Oh yea, there is definitely some smokers who can't actually do anything without thinking about smoking or actually smoking. I'm not really like that, if i was skint i could go a few days without a snout, pretty easily. Would i enjoy it? No. Could I handle it? Yes. Some people don't have the ability to do that, but thats more their actually personality, not the addiction to cigerettes.

If I had to wear a hard hat to keep my skull from being crushed by falling objects, you better believe I'm wearing that sucker 24/7

Yea but they even tell you to wear them when the only thing above your head is the clouds!! Health and Safety is just common sense, you don't need to be a specialist, these guys shouldn't even have a job as far as i'm concerned. There is no need for it. If an accident is going to happen on site, it will happen. It don't make no difference if you have read through a book telling you whats safe or if a brick fell on your head from a couple stories up, hard hat or not you are a dead man.

What the hell are you rambling about?

It's one thing to be overly safety conscious... and another to blatantly ignore when something is killing you.

I don't ignore it, but at this point in time I enjoy it too much to care. Breathing in fumes from cars when you're walking down the road is killing you, having too much to drink is killing you, being obese is killing you. But society says them things aren't as important as those "evil smokers" or whatever. :D

As i said before, you could walk out into the road one day and get hit by a bus (hopefully not!). We can all die at any given time, I just plan on living life to the full while i'm alive.

That would imply that those of us who don't smoke are "missing out". If I want stress relief, I'll go to the gym. If I want a quick buzz, I'll spin around in circles or take N-O-Xplode and spin around in circles lol

Well i didn't mean to imply that! I meant it as personally i enjoy smoking at the moment, when i don't enjoy it i'll quit, simple as.

I don't think people are missing out if they don't smoke, of course not. I'm just saying I don't really care about whats frowned upon and stuff like that, If i wanna do something, i'll do it. Everyone should feel like that sometimes or their life would just be monotonous and boring.

I agree with the banning of smoking in restaurants, even i as a smoker hates it when i'm eating and someone is smoking near me. It's all about the paying customers comfort. But if thats the case then smelly and morbidly obese people should be banned from restaurants aswell.

I used to smoke, then my Mile time went up and I threw them out the window. The next semester I ran my mile and the time was down again, i know i will never get back what i lost when i did smoke though. I lift too much to pick one up again and i care to much.

I had a Clove once. I was thinking about continuing to have them, but after smoking one of them, and then going to bed, and waking up the next morning with a headache I decided to stay away.
Though I do miss the taste.:o

Yes! What's more dangerous than passive smoking? An obese person falling on you.

Get it sorted :applaud

I wouldn't say it's not a "biggy" but it is only 1 risk factor. There are alot of components of overall health and if you are generally living a healthy lifestyle, you *may* still live a long, healthy life. However, even cutting back on the cigs can be helpful.

My husband smoked Djarum Blacks when I smoked because it covered the smell of mine and he could stand to hang around me then. :o Now that's love!

I'm having an issue as I don't smoke....but a girl I like smokes....which is odd because she is studying to be a nutritionist

Yeah, I think anytime someone knows you somewhat "abstain" from something they're like, you ain't really living. Since I don't really drink, I get that from people all the time, but I'm like, have you ever smoked weed or taken LSD? When they say no, I'm like, mother****er, you're probably missing out then. :o
