I wouldn't say it's the most disgusting, just that it's a disgusting habit. When I think of "the most disgusting habit," I think of things like public *********ion, flinging your own poo, or impulsively killing/raping. Now those are disgusting habits.

I think it's unhealthy and I can't stand the odor and other nasty telltale signs. Smoking's also taken away some family members, and my great uncle's comatose right now due to the cardiovascular diseases his smoking habits have brought about. But I've always felt like I have a bias when it comes to smoking for another reason. I have asthma, which means that even if I did want to start- maybe for recreational use, in moderation- the chronic bronchitis would put a stop to that experiment with due haste. Same thing goes for pot and other inhaled drugs. So it feels like I'm passing judgment on something I'm never going to experience anyway.

Yes, it's horribly disgusting. I've never smoked, but I have a breathing problem, and whenever I'm hanging out with my friends (who are all smokers), I can hardly inhale, which means I hang out with them a lot less.
I just don't understand why some people smoke when they know it's killing them. That really just baffles me.

For some people, the immediate pleasure/relief/joy of smoking is much more important than a 'maybe sometime later I'll get cancer'. They want the now.

I'm not a big fan of them - especially after they ****ed up my lungs. And, funny, I wasn't the one smoking them! Gotta love how that works! :down

Live in the moment, blah blah blah. Regret it later

I would consider chewing more disgusting....smoking is a close second.

I love smoking. The act of it, the art of it, the feel of it, all of it. Except I know what it's doing to me. My current plan is to use my first year after school to adjust to a new way of life that doesn't include school and consists of becoming who I'm supposed to be.

As soon as I'm done this year, I'm going to graduate, go on vacation, get a real job, move, and quit smoking. Might as well get it all over with at once, right? I hear the best thing for you to quit is to get rid of your couch, or your smoking chair, or wherever it is that you smoke.

Quoi?

All you're doing is getting into a pose and sucking/blowing, which makes the art of smoking about as alluring as becoming a Fremont St. hooker.

Pretty much. It's faux glam. However it kills me to know that most of the reason I like it is because I'm hooked.

My younger sister picked up smoking a couple years ago, and I know a lot of why she did it is because she thinks it looks "artsy." She has all these "artistic" photos she took of herself smoking...so ******ed.

It's no different than people drinking their favourite drink with a bit of flair. No homo.

How do you drink your favorite drink?

I just bring the jug of water to my mouth and inhale it.

I had not tried that. Usually it becomes the grand finale of a rain dance.

I got asthma/cystic fibrosis I have tried smoking and it did nothing for me. I have friends who smoke and they enjoy it but nothing is glamorous about it, the smell or anything. I hate when girls smoke cause I think girls should smell good, the smell of cigarette smoke on girls is disgusting.

I once ripped up some of my Mom's cigarettes and threw them in the trash. She kept them by the kitchen sink, so when I washed my hands I usually tried to "accidentally" get them all wet.

I tried all those things with my parents' cigarettes when I was a kid- I tried every approach. It never works.
