Why do you sneak food into the theatre

  • Price

  • Available choices

  • I don't. I buy everything there.

  • I don't. I prefer to watch the movie, not eat.

I used to have competitions with friends over how much you could sneak in.

It got silly towards the end with watermelons and other such things.

If I do buy any food it's usually just one thing - normally a bag of M&Ms. I'm passing on popcorn more and more because I find popcorn tastes better when made at home.

I always bring some boiled eggs with me, and I make sure I eat them with my mouth open.

Sometimes I want rum in my coke when I'm watching an overpriced movie.

Don't eat when watching a movie. If you can't go without food for an hour and a half, you got some problems, boss. I do love those morons that attempt to bring in liquor and you hear them knocking over glass bottles.

Food is UK cinemas is absurdly expensive. In some cinemas it costs three times what it does elsewhere. £2 for a 330ml can of Coke! And you can only buy it once you have the ticket, it's almost a trap. Buy the ticket, enter the cinema, then if you want food you have to buy it in there.

This is normally what I bring too. Small bag of candy that fits in my shoulder bag. Sometimes water, because for some reason, theaters around these parts don't even sell water. :(

I watch movies during lunchtime. So all I'm bringing in is my lunch. While I like a hot dog, a sub beats a scrawny hot dog any time. However, a Polish sausage or a Bratwurst is a toughie.

I've never been caught at all since the food is inside my winter coat and there are no ushers at all at the movies anymore, and as far as I know there haven't been since '78 which was when I was born. If they stopped before I was born, I wouldn't know.

Some people have flasks.

Price was a small factor when I did it, but it was the only choice that made sense. When, I did it, the theater was across the street from a K-Mart. The drinks and snacks were more convienent. I could hide it is something else I bought there.

If you do but something there it lasts about 4 minutes at the most. I once brought a Starburst twister pack and just ate the whole thing during the movie. They should have never gotten rid of those or the Starburst jellybeans.

I usually get nachos and soda. On occasion I get a pickle. If I am not careful they are gone by the opening credits.

I very rarely buy theatre food unless my dad gives me the money for it. I'm not spending $20 for a soda, a chocolate bar and a hotdog if I can just buy a box of Glosett peanuts and a can of pepsi for $1.50 :down.

Your dad gives you money.

Aren't you 32, babe?

I would like a Pizza sub from Subway with banana peppers, lettuce, mustard, and oil, a bag of salt and vinegar chips, and a sweet tea.

This isn't the thread I wanted to post...

I think God didn't like the other thread. :(
