Just watched the season premiere, good stuff.

Lester is probably my favorite character in the show. I like that he's a stuffed shirt government stooge but he's a good government stooge. It makes it a little refreshing that type of character is one of the good guys instead of a constant heel/antagonist type.

His repressed glee and enthusiasm over Connor and Abbie being back was great.

I like that the epilogue left no doubt that Connor and Abbie are now together. I appreciated that finally. Looks like Rex will be in the next episode, I was worried about what happened to him.

I hope they resolve the Danny issue at some point. I was sort of annoyed that Sarah got killed offscreen.

My favorite thing about Lester is that he wasn't always a good government stooge. He was utterly disgusted with Cutter and his methods at the beginning, but he tolerated him because he knew no one else could do the job as effectively. But slowly, over the course of the first two series or so, his disdain crumbled and he genuinely came to care for the team, especially Connor. It's telling that he seemed a bit ashamed about introducing the "military only" policy when he actually had to justify it to Connor and Abby. Back in series 1, he would've broken the news with all the subtlety of a slap in the face and laughed while they pissed off out of the Home Office, never to be seen again.

Danny's fate is a big thing for me. I could deal with the transition from Cutter to Danny because Cutter's story was finished. Danny, however, is off in some nebulous void. We don't know what happens to him in the period where man evolved, we don't know if a mammoth came and skewered him right away, we don't know anything. It's a big, gaping hole in the ongoing plot at the moment. Moreover, I hope Danny's at least brought up soon. Before Abby and Connor came back, it was understandable that the ARC wasn't doing anything to find him. They had no idea where to look except a vague theory from Sarah. Connor and Abby, however, can definitively confirm Sarah's theory. Given that Connor's big brain is back on the team and they're funded by yet another super-genius, I hope we get to see some sort of progress toward finding Danny--Connor working on duplicating the anomaly controller Helen had or something, at the very least.

But man, what a ditz Connor was in that episode. All they needed to do was taze the monster and haul it back to the anomaly WITHOUT killing it or hurting it. They could've figured out the device later and surely repaired it.

Then they ended up like anomalying the dinosaur AND losing the anomaly device.

In fairness, I don't think Connor knew about the super-cool new tasers yet. He was probably afraid Becker, being Becker, would try to kill the Spinosaurus.

Sarah's last words were an enthusiastic "I have an idea.." I just read she was killed by a future predator after she entered an anomaly at the race track. How terrible! They could have done a little more with her before they killed her off. All I really remember her doing in a few episodes is trying on dresses.

Btw, other than Jenny isn't Sarah the only person who has seen the torn photo of Claudia Brown? What became of that? Wouldn't it have been proof of the existence of alternate realities in some anomalies?

The reality they're in now is the one created by Cutter going back at the end of series 1 and changing something in the past. There is always the chance they had more ideas for the characters but the show was cancelled and actors need work so they moved on and were unavaliable when they'd be filming, thus death, lost in time or not in it as much.

Anyhow, I'm not enjoying this series as much as the others. It feels like a step backwards after series 3. It feels like even Becker has changed from shotty gun man to wandering man. I miss the days when they'd show up, run aroundAbby would be attacked, Connor would to something randomly techy, Beck would shoot it and Danny would try and punch it's face in...

I liked that they had the balls to kill the girl. I miss Becker shooting things in the face. Tesla guns aren't as fun as bullet guns...

I'm really liking this new series. I like the cast, especially Jess, who is smoking hot in those short and cute outfits.

I wish Connor had hardened up a bit having spent a year in the Cretaceous but he is still fun.

Becker is funny and great. He is starting to be more than a 2D character.

Matt is intriguing, as is that guy he keeps going to talk to. I can't wait to find out what they are up to.

Anyway, good episode. Am I the only one who's wishing Connor would grow a bit more backbone, though? I mean, Philip's being a total tool to him about the research and then Connor practically begs him to let him do research and field work simultaneously. Um... correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't that what he did for like 3 years under Cutter and then Danny? Wouldn't mentioning that have been kind of sensible?

But yeah, so anyway, at the end of the next episode's preview: "Jenny." Can't wait!

Wow, nobody talked about Jenny's return last week? It was a good episode. Emily looked jaw-droppingly gorgeous in that dress. Also, that whole scene with Connor accidentally talking about marriage for way too long was hilarious.

Lester marrying them was cool and Becker falling into Ethans trap. I guessed old dying guy was Matts father.

I don't think Becker will die his men on the other hand are cannon fodder.

I was thinking did they ever resolve why Helen was at Stephens grave with her clone army?

I thought she may of cloned Stephen?

In fact did they ever explain how that Army guy was cloned or was he the same guy from parallel universes?

I figured it was just future science. Clearly, Helen acquired a bit of it and figured out how to use it.

As for Becker, I thought he would die because he came on as a replacement for the previous military guy (who was killed) and they didn't put his name in the main credits for a long time. Naturally, he's the one who always takes the risks, too. Plus, they were killing people off left and right in series 3. Just a lot of little factors that had me worrying about him.

And what is Jenny's role now?

I hope the series will end well and not be a total mind-****. I wonder if they will also do movies and/or a US spin-off which they talked about during series 3.

Danny arrived, got shot, beat up a bird, talked to Lester, explained plot, discovered plot, wrapped up plot and left. Totally annoying but at the same time proof that the show needs Danny back. Like I've said before, he's the kind of guy that'll punch something in the face.

Jenny has no role. She was there to wrap up plot and give Abby something different to wear and allow Lester to be Lester.

They bumped into Jenny on a mission and she was getting married. She had turned her back on the Ark, anomalies ect after what happened at the end of the last series.

Danny came back and Ethan turned out to be his bro. Uncle Phillip is up to no good like everyone guessed the moment he walked on screen.

Matt is from a hell hole future where anomalies have destroyed the planet and has come back in time like Kyle Reese to stop it happening

Okay... long story short.. i was able to watch the Finale on Friday with two of TPTB and the actor that played Ethan giving a short Q&A afterwards

(Oh, and i also met George Takai )

But anyway... Cannot wait to see what happens next season...(Speaking of which, it was said in the Q&A that the next season finale will be suitable as a proper show finale, if they are unable to get anymore seasons... but it won't answer 100% of the questions people have for the show)... Great to see Danny back, if only for so short a time... and it was nice to see a chav bite the dust...

Can't help but be worried for Conners health atm...

Oh, and a bit of trivia... the prison they used was the same one used in the Original Italian Job...
