I wouldn't want to see him, at least fully see him, if this rumor was true, it'd be cool to maybe just hint at it towards the very end of the trailer, but base it more on him as Harvey Dent.

that was only speculation...it was noticed on the gotham public schools website that they would be serving "bat-bites" on dec 21st. some people suspected a trailer with sweeney todd because it was the WB film that owuld be released on that day.

Harvey dent was in the trailer for a split second. The tiny spot where Bruce is walking into the restaurant and you see Rachael, he's at the table with her but its so short and the focus is on her and Bruce that you dont notice him. I was messing with the trailer and spotting that whilst cutting out Joker shooting off as he walks into the penthouse.

Actually im hoping for just some theatrical posters and a theatrical trailer thats shows more Batman. Joker is cool and all and we have seen quite a bit of him (which is what people wanted so they could judge Ledger's Joker) but now it's time for some 'Dark knight'.

I think the marketing's been really focused on Joker because it's important that people like the new version. So now that everyone knows about Joker and public opinion is high, the marketing will focus more on Batman and the movie's plot.

I'd love for them not to tell anything about the plot. I went into BB blind and loved it. Id do the same for TDK.

Id imagine they're going to focus on Batman and H.D.'s campaign now.

I firmly believe that 2 face will be the most fleshed out and complex villian in Nolan's batman. Why?
Its in relation to all the characters in all his stories, obession and how it has taken over a character. Resulting in a loss of humanity

Sammy J In memento and Robert Angier, both characters lost something so grand that it finally lead to there destruction exactly like 2 face. The same thing applies. 2 face is probably the most realistic villian in the comic mythos and couple that with Nolans obsession for realism, you will have the character he wants to envision the most. This character is right up in Nolan's ally a tragic hero finally succumbing to his fatal flaw.

Or well my opinion.

Good post I completely agree, Nolan is at his most comfortable with stories which don't deal in pure black and whites. Which is why the Prestige is his best work so far (IMO).

I went into BB totally blind - I wasn't big on movies then and wsn't even aware there was a Batman movie coming out. I only went because I got free passes, I didn't even know who was playing in it, much less the plot.
Boy am I glad I went.

And when I first saw Prestige I hated the first half and thought it was just going to be a whole movie of two guys trying to ruin each other. Then everything from Tesla on completely changed my mind.

I absolutely loved The Prestige, from beginning to end. Probobly the most satisfying movie experience ive ever had.

The Joker's campaign was more to prove to the fans(and to the general public) that they know what they're doing with the character, a "don't worry" campaign. Now, they caught all our attention, I think they'll start a new campaign about Batman and H.D.(not Two-Face)...We'll maybe have a TV spot, or something like that, about Two-Face after the movie will be released.
