I was looking at a fan made trailer for The Dark Knight and it shows the doors of Arkham Asylum open up in Batman Begins. So do you guys think Joker get's loose in that scene.

I don't think he was in Arkham in the first place. I think his origin took place pretty close to Batmans arrival in Gotham.

i want everyone in here to know that the moderators in shh are punks

it's too early to guess his origin, but I'd PREFER that he wasn't already an inmate before becoming the Joker

Why are the Mods punks Batman7289? I also like the idea of him not being an escapee of Arkham. Keeps more mystery behind him. If they already had him in there before hand it kinda ruins him being a strange new villian. Not to mention the motives and actions that he has. I like it better where no one knows who he is, all they know is people are dying and there's always a card left behind.

I have a new theory on Joker's past/present. What if Gordon was accidentally responsible for the creation of Joker? Gordon says that the felon is known for a couple of arm robberies, well either Joker is still Jack Napier or whatever his name is and is still pulling small-time heists or he's either already turned into Joker and is already leaving his calling card at the scene of his victims' dead bodies.

If this is the case than Joker would've been created before Bruce Wayne/Batman ever arrived back to Gotham, thus could become the explanation why Gordon is busted down to being a measley Lt. and working with Flass who he really doesn't have any business working with in the first place because Flass is a bum and a crook.

Like what if Gordon had the chance to save Joker ala Batman in "Batman 89'" at the chemical plant, but Joker slipped out of Gordon's hand and fell into the vat never to be seen or heard of again. Loeb could easily take this incident and bust Gordon down so fast it would make his head spin, thus explaining why Gordon is Lt. in "Batman Begins."

As for a hideout Joker escapes to I'll say a worned down apartment like in "BTAS" where he'll make his prop-gags, set up his team of clown henchmen, and mingle with Harley.

I have to say... that doesn't sound THAT bad. However, I don't think they're going to explore/reveal so much into Joker's origin. I kinda like that aspect of the TDK Joker, actually. Gives him more of a "creep" factor.

I have been thinking of a similar link as well but mine is a bit different and would create a perfect way for Harley Quinn to be included. It could be revealed in a quick flashback that pre-Joker was running from police gunfire and falls into the vat of chemicals and blames Gordon for it. Whether it be because Gordon couldn't hold onto him or Gordon shot a bullet that caused pre-Joker to turn and fall I don't know. But then as Joker plans ahead to get revenge which could include the armed robbery and double homicide he sees that Gordon and Harvey Dent are working together and sees it as a perfect opportunity to get at Gordon.

Dent could visit a psychiatrist Harleen Quinzell who is secretly working for the Joker and reporting to him all the info on Dent. Now I wouldn't have it come right out and do that. I would set it up as a twist and then revealed that Quinzell was seduced by the Joker and was working for him the whole time setting up for Joker "releasing" Dents other personality with the acid and also it would explain why the Joker is always one step ahead. They could also later explore how he seduced her in flashbacks in the 3rd movie when she is being interrogated by either Batman or Gordon after she releases Joker from Arkham. It could also tie in Joker's fixation with Batman if he sees Batman helping Gordon and Dent and make it more personal for Batman as Joker is targeting his friends. It could also open up the opportunity for villain cameos as Two Face could go on a rampage through Arkham in search of exacting revenge on the Joker and gathering up a rogues army to terrorize Gotham.

Interesting. See, why I brought up the Gordon theory was because, it would be a perfect set up for "The Killing Joke."

It could be like, "Well, James Gordon made me mad, so now I'm going to return the favor." And instead of Barbara you could insert Jim's wife and have Joker tie her to a chair, beat her, maybe even rape her, snap photos of her naked and beaten, and send them to Jim's desk. The other idea would be to have Joker gas Jim's wife and leave her with that crooked Joker-smile on her face. Jim could come home from a long day at work only to find his wife on the floor laughing maniacally and Gordon quickly calls the paramedics.

Thus, it would drive him so bat-**** off-the-wall that he would put on hold his duty to be a good cop and his badge aside and want to nab Joker anyway possible. Life or death.

I hope he came from arkam.Wasnt it mentioned that he did in the film?

In the comics the Joker kills Bruce's parents and then later when Bruce became Batman he drops Jack intro the chemicals making him the joker. :joker:

I could do without the vat of chemicals angle, one character being physically disfigured is enough for me, just seems unintentionally hilarious and lazy. Could be more effective if he's always been that way with no easy incident to explain away his motivation, seems scarier to me.

So, you want what they did in "The Batman" show?

Considering Scarecrow/Crane's treatment of Arkham as his own personal lab, I'm pretty sure it would be closed down.

Just because he wont have an origin doens't mean he'll be anything like on The Batman. I'm sure he'll wear shoes, for example.

Well yeah and I don't want a dreadlocked Joker either, but what I meant is that I want at least some kind of backstory to The Joker, whether it be Alan Moore's take on The Joker, a scrapbook of backstories ala "multiple choice", or simply a made-up one created by the Nolan brothers to suit Joker but overall fit his theme and character.
