So which scenes that we know of aren't in the early screenings?

This thread only confirms my suspicions that FOX has cut some major stuff from the press screenings.

DR was (according to PWR) only about 60 seconds long. I think we all know that can't be right.

PWR said that the Iceman/Wolverine dialogue was taken out, which has been key in several tv spots and the theatrical trailer, as well as a key moment in Iceman's character arc.

Rogue and Bobby kissing was missing, as well as Bobby and Kitty's kiss.

Wolverine's bartending scene.

Storm's tidal wave was either completely cut out or severly shortened.

The first 20 minutes has little flow and feels like a montage.

Something tells me that FOX is waiting to show some stuff for the fans.

Yeah...right....

it's just another fox hack job people

zer00, you can't tell me that you honestly believe that all of this stuff was cut out, do you?

Fox: *cut out 30 minutes from Daredevil*

Fox: *cut 40 minutes from Fantastic Four*

yeah I'd say so. Wishful thinking is one thing but it only sets you up to be knocked down. I say accept it now. Doesn't mean that it'll be bad, considering most of the reviews so far are good.

And be hopeful a Director's cut will be released

and on mystique's voice. Listen to Doom's voice in the movie and Doom's voice in some of the TV spots. Fox took it out his deep mettalic voice for the theatrical release. So yes they can go pretty far

Not when Mystique's voice was already like that in the previous movies...

My guess is it will be like what happend with X-Men 2, the deleted scene's will be put on DVD.

I didn't say they weren't going to give her that voice, now did I. It was an example.

Yeah so take out half the movie for critics screenings. Sometimes I wonder what world we live in.

Good or bad, this may be their agenda. The Daredevil DC sold quite well. Give the fans a meaningful DC and Fox can expect big DVD numbers multiplied by two. Maybe they'll withhold things intentionally and the bottom line will boom. Numbers wise, it's like releasing two separate films on DVD.

Bad for us now = Good for Fox long term...

Well I thought FF was a complete piece of ****. Because of that I did not see again in the theatre (unlike most other comic films), did not buy it on DVD, have no desire to ever watch it again, and regularly use it as the primary example of a bad comic book movie. I also did not see Elektra in the theatre (though I did watch it on cable), and did not buy it on DVD...I will however be sprinting to best buy to get V for Vendetta when it comes out. If fox thinks they can insult not only Comic book fans, but fans of good movies with this poorly written, poorly edited garbage and then dangle a a "better" version on DVD they are on mistaken.

That's what I've been thinking. They saw how well the DD: DC did. And we know there's already an FF DC in the works. They even withheld things for the first DVD release for it. So they release more of a trailer for a movie into theaters instead of the full film.

Though I still think it sounds like X-3 was able to make it out of the Fox editing room with it's balls intact. But still without some things which could have made it pure great.

That looks pretty cool
Too bad they cut it, hopefully will see it on the DVD.

Too bad???...that is like a 30 second sequence! It had better be in the movie on the 26th.

I didn't read the entire thread so that I wouldn't accidentally read too much, but WTF? How the hell are there things missing from these early screenings?

Does that make sense? How is that possible? Who confirmed this?

PM?

The "Upon Reading Reviews, A Different Version For Us" thread adressed this fact. Over there, we have compiled a huge list to confirm that we may get a different version of the film come May 26th. A lot of scenes and characters are missing from the early cut that the reviewers saw. We think that Fox will add some extra things that may have contained huge spoilers so that the early reviewers couldn't leak them!

I think everything has been pretty non-spoilerish except for gap5ewl's post on page 2.

I think they're cutting a lot... it's weird.
