There was some stuff that was definitely not for little kids. One such thing was
the graphic death of General Hager
. Did the MPAA just not care this time?

EDIT: Damn, I meant to write "wasn't" instead of "was" in the title. Can a mod fix that for me?

You meant why wasn't it PG-13, right?

FYI, that death scene wasn't that graphic, hence the PG rating.

The death scene was graphic, but not graphic at the same time. I bet some parents were annoyed though.

Why would you think the death scene was graphic? There was no blood or anything like that the guy just kind of got half his body blown up, not that graphic

I thought it was more graphic than the Hole in the chest from the first one.

When I saw the death scene it reminded me of in X3 when Smoke killed those soldiers.

WTF is this Mortal Kombat? LMAO

You mean Arclight, right? :p

he means Token Black Mutant that blows weed smoke at ppl.

Hey, about that General death scene....WHAT HAPPENED?!

It looked like he was blown apart in a bloody mess at first, then he looked like a statue later. I never got a good look.

Nah wasnt that graphic at all, the first lord of the rings film was pg and i'd say that was a lot more graphic!

I'm so confused.....

*doesn't remember these charecters from X3*
Anyway, I thought Hager's death scene was more graphic than the fake looking hole in the chest :whatever:...and the movie itself was darker than the first so I dont know why it got a PG. I think FF1 is more PG than FF2, Im just happy the PG rating didnt bother me as much as I thought it would

The MPAA Rating Committee is more inconsistent than the Federal Government......who knows why they make the decisions they do....they just DO.

I bet if they showed Sue get stabbed then it would have been rated PG-13.

People in my audience just laughed when he got killed!
It weren't graphic to me there was no blood just looked like a broken statue

I was pretty stunned at that death but was like YEAH THIS IS AWESOME. Plus I was thinking they've killed that s****y actor, yay, :D

Doom is ace BTW

Since we're talking about him I might as well ask this question here. I know the answer is most defiantly probably no, but I just want to know for sure- was General Hager ever in any of the comics?

we shouldn't just make this about one scene. Jokes with johnny always seemed sex related...rock slide and his date explaining what it takes to be his girlfriend. I thought some of that was PG13ish.

This movie was more mature and had darker themes than the first, imo. I'm surprised this ended up PG, with the first being PG-13. The MPAA is weird like that :p
