Homecoming Sony E-mails on wikileaks

Thought I'd bump this given the new batch of emails recently posted on wikileaks.

I looked real hard for something new last night but couldn't find anything.

If Sony already knew The Amazing Spiderman 2 was a mess, why did they still promote it so aggressively? If I were them, I'd have cut back on soe of my marketing material, and rely on Spiderman's name to help recoup some loses, instead of pushing so aggressively, fatiguing audience before the film even came out.

My guess is they where hoping things were going to work out. And then when they saw it didnt. They panicked and was trying to come up with new plans. And as we saw plans went to far out of whack. Working with marvel was for there best interest.

lol. I've read through the leaks and no it's not documented that Sony was unhappy with it. At least before it was worldwide released. Seemed like they were happy with how the movie was opening. Where did anyone at Sony have problems with it? They had pretty ambitious expectations for the film

I've seen that. One person at all of Sony? She could have changed anything she wanted. She had the most say over those films. Didn't hear anything but praise from the producers, writers, and everyone else in the Sony Emails.

Do you think they'd just say it outright? What would the purpose be? The proof of their issue with it, is they went to Disney/Marvel to reboot the franchise for the second time in 5 years.
