the PS2 version sucks and not even Venom could save that pile of crap. You are better off sticking with Ult-Spiderman

How do you beat the Rhino and the Lizards (the level with the gas dispenser, I can't defend that third dispenser...too many lizards). Any help?

Yeah I noticed that the first day I bought it, and I posted it on here like you... and people ignored me. lol

I was thinking the exact same thing as you.. Or maybe New Goblin, since they have the controls made for him already.:o

If you're playing on PS3, then Square, X, Triangle is a combo that works really well with the lizards (classic suit). I'm sure the equivalent of that combo for 360 will work equally well. It's Light Attack, Jump, Heavy Attack. Spidey throws a punch, jumps in the air and then slams the ground, clearing enough enemies around.

As for Rhino, attack him from behind, when he grabs a pole dodge it and jump on him, when he's running on all four dodge him until he gets dizzy and finally follow any prompts that might appear. No complex strategy there.

^ Marginally. The swinging and fighting is slightly better, but it is also much more repetitive.

Spider-man 2 is miles ahead any of those. Realistic, FAST swinging, decent fight system and great variety in free-roam missions.

Spider-Man 2 is easily the best. It had a great upgrade system, the best swinging system, and good fighting.

I can see where you guys are coming from when you say Spider-Man 2 is the best however I do not agree that it is better than 3, at least not by much. The only reason I can think of for 2 being best is because there was such a wide range of noticable changes between 1 and 2. In 2 the animations were better, the storylines were better, you can walk the streets, etc. Spider-Man 3 IMO is just like 2 but looks better and has more to do. Just my two cents folks. :woot:

Here's what I did:

1. Don't jump to web grapple and beat them up. They swarm the canister.

2. Use slowdown. A lot.

3. Keep an eye out. Since you're on the ground you'll be whipping all kinds of ass. Keep an eye on that canister.

Let me know what happens. Took me 45 minutes to do this.

I would hope so. Playing as Venom would be cool, but I want to play as Harry more I think.

Yeah, but what system do you have it on?

I've never played the PS2 version, but other than graphics what else is different?

Only 5 storylines (I only counted four) smaller city, the option to switch suits at will, no swimming, no catapult thingy, and that's it I think...

What is your upgrade system?

You can't go down in the subways on the PS2 version either right? Only during story mode you can.

Thanks to everyone who helped with tips...I'll be attempting the lizard level again tonight.

No web slingshot? Ah, that stinks. It makes crossing the city much easier.

SM3 ultimately was meh. The swing system on Wii was amazing. The fight system was also well done, but limited in moves on Wii. 360 had a lot more content, but none of it was that itneresting. It lacked the polish of a HD game and was simply an ATTEMPTED (it failed) upgrade from SM2. I did appreciate reveamped tourist sites like Times Square that actually looked somewhat real. Mosto of the bossfights save for the Lizard boss fights were disappointing. And the black suit was wasted on 360 and in Wii was put to cool use but the game was so short it made little difference.

The coolest things I'd say is playing New Goblin on 360 for a mission/boss fight and being able to swing like Spidey on Wii.

BTW am I the ONLY one who thinks Friend or Foe looks incredibly bad?

Ultimate Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2 were MUCH better than either version of SM3. So was Neversoft's Spider-Man for PS1 and N64 for that matter.

Friend or Foe does look terrible, but if you clicked the links that showed the pics of it and read the text then you'd see that one of the captions say something along the lines of "This will be your little brother's new addiction" or something. So maybe they're aiming it towards children. I'll probably rent that one before buying though. Just in case it is garbage.

I agree, Friend or Foes looks like crap.

Graphics-wise...

Yeah, story-wise.. Probably..

Game-play- the only thing that's keeping me attached to the game.. I hope you can free-roam, and there is online play right? Like you can play and Spidey, and vs. Venom or something?

My understanding is for every enemy that you defeat, they become an ally. And that you can swap them out when you wish.
