Just because I grew up with a game doesn't make it good. I still play the Doom games. Those are still great. I grew up with Superman 64, guess what, it still sucks. I grew up with Spider-Man on the PS1, it was pretty good 7 years ago. Today, not so much.
I'll be the first to admit the unlockables were really good in the game. But, unlockables don't make the game for me. The gameplay compared to Spider-Man the movie game, is nothing but terrible, stiff, and boring. Even if you dumbed down the graphics on the Spider-Man movie game to meet the PS1 game, it still beats the snot out of it gameplay wise.
I don't know what you guys found because I didn't take the time to read the last 80 pagest: so I will post everything I found on my other forums.
Well, the official website for Spiderman 3(Video Game) is out.

Villains(Wii):
Confirmed:
Venom
Sandman
New Goblin- thats the second goblins name. Not Green Goblin.
Shriek
Morbius
Scorpion- read the article for stuff on Scorpion.
Unconfirmed:
Shocker- he has been in almost every spiderman game thats not on GBA...
Kraven
Rhino
Electro
Carlyle- the third Doc Ock. It took Spiderman and the original Doc Ock teaming up to take down this guy. He had green armor and 6 arms.
Lizard
Wii has two extra villains. Morbius and Shriek. For every other station there is 10 villains. Also, I somehow found out that there will be a second addition Spiderman 3 game that lets you play as New Goblin. I'm trying to find my source at the moment.
Sure this is all old and you probably have it, but meh.
^ So has it been confirmed that the ps2 version is free roam?
IGN.com said:Although we didn't see the PS2, PSP, or Wii versions running, Activision has told us that they will still have a large, streaming world only with weaker graphics. To you and me, that means a lower resolution and less draw distance. All of the versions will have 10 storylines, though the PS2, PSP, and Wii iterations will have two different ones when compared to the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions and will feature some different characters never before seen in a Spider-Man movie game. The last difference is that the low resolution versions of Spider-Man 3 will allow the player to switch more easily between the black and red suits.
Yes.
PS2, PSP, and Wii are all free roam.

EDIT: Not to mention, I asked the head-mod of SM3's "Spidey's Web" and he's also wondering why people are saying it's not, because it is.
EDIT 2: Added the full IGN quote...does anyone know what they mean by "PS2, PSP, and Wii iterations will have two different ones when compared to the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions" when they all get 10 storylines? Does this mean 2 extra storylines or what? ._.
What of the 360 being a free roam? Surely it is right?
360s going to be free roam, if you saw the gamespot interview they said that the 360 and ps3 are free roam. What of the 360 being a free roam? Surely it is right?
I don't think they will get two extras, I think two thats in the 360 and ps3 version will be replaced wit alternate ones for Wii, PS2, and PSP.Every single Spider-Man 3 the Movie video game except GBA and DS will be free roam and have 10 missions (although it SEEMS Wii, PS2, and PSP will have 2 extras or soemthing).

Hope that came out right?
Ya never know the two alternate storylines might be really cool, I do like what they said about featuring characters that hasent been introduced in any Spidey movie game. Its nice to see that they're including exclusive content for the Wii, PS2, and PSP aswell.I hope not.
That would be actually kind of bad because everyone's so used to the one they're showing us now and Wii, so far, has gotten NO screen time or much of a mention (except passing mention in articles assuring people it'll have free-roam and 10 missions).
I hope they didn't change anything...Wii and PS2 can use the same amount of space that 360 can due to them both being on the exact same type of disc (DVD-ROM).

Hey guys, looks like the 2.1 DVD will have a link to a demo of the game.

9. Will there be a demo? And if there is, when is it coming out?
• We talked a lot about a demo for the console versions but here is the challenge: When you have an open city, it is much more difficult to build a demo because there are effectively no “walls” to manage the size of the demo. I’m not in production but this is my understanding from the technical side. In order to create “walls” we think we’d be taking away from the very thing that makes this game special to fans: the massive, open city.
• I will say that we are hoping to have an NDS download on the Nintendo Download Kiosks sometime around May. We’re working for this and hope to make the deadlines for it. The NDS is unbelievably fun. Wait until you play and use the combat system. Just great, great fun.
How different do you think the ps2 version will be besides the obivious difference in graphics
Thats just it. The graphics are the only significant difference, which I'm not too bothered about. I care about the game play and the locations as well as the story. As long as the graphics are of a dcent ps2 standard, I couldn't care less. I might get it on pc though coz I'm not getting a ps3 until a month before mgs4 comes out, that game is the only reason why I'm getting a ps3.
