Comics Spider-Man December Books:

Correction buddy. :cwink: I do admit there are some hypocrites out there, but there have not been many like that on the hype. the people that are really upset have STILL not been reading.

Most anti Bnders (like myself) are pissed about the new status quo.
its more like "WAAAAAAAH!!! CHANGE IT BACK, CHANGE IT BACK!"

than some of us are like screw it, we'll just not contribute our cash.
but you know, i still like spidey so i'll ride with it and see where this goes.

and than some people are pissed because they keep referring to a story that was an Epic fail. (guess those fans are spoiled by the clone saga, lol.)

Although i do love me some Ben Reily and some of the stories born out of it. :yay:

What shifty said.

imdaly's now stooped to trying to insult people, and his first attempt was extremely misinformed. He's so adorable when he get's fussy and wants his apple juice. Now bring back the triangle headed avatar to show how rad you are.

Harry and Peter used to both act a lot more mature than how they're depicted in the books nowadays. Compare the psychologically deep Spec Spider-Man run from the early 90's with the current BND status. Back when Harry was running Oscorp and had a 5 year-old kid and wife and was retreating into his Goblin persona, he seemed to be about 30ish and the responsible but scared way Peter was reacting made him seem older and more weary too. He had serious arguments with his wife MJ over her smoking and Harry's condition, was concerned over his apartment and having Harry live upstairs and his constant threats. He seemed around 28-30.

Now they both act like they're 25. Who even knows anymore.

Let's cut the difference and say they're 27.

Yup, those were great stories. Man I miss JM DeMatties. :csad:

Miken, imdaly

Looking through this thread makes me think that I should infract both of you. Both of you have posted immaturely. But since all of this happened a month ago, I'm just giving both of you a warning. But you better believe BOTH of you guys are under the microscope now. Got it?

Peter seemed more mature already in the Stan Lee-era. Back when he was dating Gwen, didn't he have thoughts about getting married? And getting a real job? And now he's "too young to be married"?

well, the Q might say that "continuity doesn't matter as long as we tell a great story..."

I really dont care for these inconsequential "What-If" stories, to me they're just a bunch of unnecessary teases of "what could have been".

Don't you get it! It's a test format for THE NEXT RETCON! :woot:

sometimes i actually dont blame him. some pro-BND fans like him are categorized the same way for liking the story's that came out of OMD as fans are labeled by marvel that dont buy this new stuff..

he's actually a very nice poster when you get to know him. very good person to debate with as well. :cwink:

:) Thank you.

I happen to think that great stories are being told WITHIN the confines of continuity... as least, all indications point in that direction.

Norman Osborn's hair isn't even in continuity.....lol.

No offense. Just felt like a good joke at the moment. but I do agree for the most part it seems like they are starting to make efforts to branch out and restore the continuity a bit more.BTW has anyone else noticed that everyone seems to turn stupid when they start putting Peter's identity together??!:huh::huh:

Yes, and check out this week's IGN interview with Steve Wacker. This is addressed and teased. There's definitely something up with this:

Warren asks: "How is it that the symbiote knows for certain that Eddie Brock was his former host but only knows that "Spider-Man" was his host and not "Peter Parker"? Isn't that just a bit beyond suspension of disbelief? He was part of Parker for so long and yet he has no idea who Spider-Man truly is?"

Wacker:
Warren, I was walking out of jamba Juice and ran into your favorite writer, Dan Slott, and threw this one at him:

Dan Slott: Actually Warren, it looks more like a pattern is emerging. Ana Kravinoff finds a Spider-Man costume in Peter and Vin's apartment and assumes that it belongs to Vin. Venom can't detect any traces of the symbiote when he's right in front of Peter, but Anti-Venom can detect them when he's in front of Spider-Man. Norman Osborn discovers Peter Parker's camera, and concludes that Spider-Man takes pictures of himself and gives them to Peter. It almost feels like there's some force at work here, doesn't it?
