id be iffy on a 2099 game... on one hand its not 616... but on the other, its not ultimate.

I just listened to the new One Of Swords podcast and it says that Wondercon will be the first time the trailer is shown and it won't be put online beforehand. This sucks.

Darn. How do they expect to gain any audience? A trailer beforehand gets people excited for more news. No one is gonna go to the panel for a trailer they might not like and news about it they dont want to hear.

Oh well...guess my Saturday will be spent on live feeds. F**k!

well... i think it says alot for the fact were getting a trailer before we even know anything about the game at all.

oh. well good then. i don't want a trailer before knowing info on the game. that just spells disaster for the game

Batman: Arkham City spells disaster?

um.... we've had details, images, and a butt load amount of info about the game before the trailer.... we knew who some of villains were, and the general idea of the game as well. This game we know absolutely nothing... what universe it takes place in, who the villains are, is it a sequel or it's own unique game, etc... etc...

I'm talking about the FIRST first Arkham City trailer. The one that debuted four months after Arkham Asylum. We had no info on that before it was released. It came out of nowhere. Heck, it didn't even have a name yet.

If your theory is correct, the game should be terrible, right? Because we didn't have info on it before the trailer?

I think you forgot about the Spike Video Game Awards trailer in 2009 when we didn't even know there was a sequel coming.

Thats a good point. That teaser was our first intro to Arkham City. I remember some of the people dissecting it, thinking Batman went back in time. Haha, idiots.

A lot of games have done that. Elder Scrolls released a trailer... Basically the whole concept of an announcement trailer disproves his statement.

I don't necessarily mind a 2099 game, but I would perfer that we got a 616 free roam game with Green Goblin as the main VIllain.
