Except for the fact that electricity, like fire, is just another form of energy, and both create heat. There is no reason why electricity should affect something differently than fire. They both have high amount of heat and both burn.

That's true, but I it's not heat he's vulnerable to, it's fire itself. (unless it doesn't matter, i dunno)

Yet electricity still causes fire, which make it nonsense to see the symbiote shrug electricity

so is friction... but you don't see spidey defeating Venom with rug burn

eh... it heats up things, doesn't cause fire (for instance only dry wood ignites when struck). I think the fire is more of a fear mechanism for a symbiote. Not a physical "Kryptonite" it scares it. Think of it like the animals and mogli in the jungle book.

I'd love to see that happens:AWESOME:
Spidey: "Hey Carnage, I have something to give you"
Carnage: "That would be?"
Spidey rubs the symbiote very roughly with a rug till it leaves its host
(Venom is now a hero, that's why I didn't use them)

The more symbiotes are used the dumber the plots get
I hope the new game would be 100% free of symbiotes, and plot stupidity and nonsense

i think we've all been wanting a 616 game for a long long time now... something that feels "classic". I really think would be cool if it was a stylized 60's retro feel to it too.

Who should voice Spider-Man? Rino Romano? One of the four Spider-Men from Shattered Dimensions? Or someone entirely different, with a great voice, and good acting talent to deliver the tones properly?

Either Rino Romano, Josh Keaton or Christopher Daniel Barnes imo.

Josh Keaton is the only individual i want to hear voicing Spidey at this point.

YES! I love Josh Keaton. Not only is his voice great, but he is talented and LOVES Spider-Man. You can tell just by the way he speaks, he really gets into the character.

I have a feeling Beenox will bring him on board if they read this. They seem to listen to the fans. They really are a great developer, they just need more time to work. With 2.5 to 3 years of work on a Spider-Man game, Beenox could make a killer Spider-Man game.

I wouldnt doubt it, he's quickly becoming THE voice of Spider-Man. Obviously Capcom thought so, which is why they went with him in MvC3.

Agreed. I was playing SD last night and while hollow, Beenox did do a lot of things right. I think the animations are great, i think Spidey is treated properly, for the most part the boss battles are fun. Like you said, if they are given the time, they could craft a great game, but we all know thats not how Activision works.

Yeah I want Josh Keaton to. His work on Spidey just flows so well, never once do I remember it feeling forced during Spectacular or Shattered Dimensions. I could live with NPH, CDB or Rino to but Josh is my front runner by a mile.

About the symbiote - electricity thing. In ASM #648 they talk a little about what weaknesses an organism from space would have and Peter mentions fire and sound as it wouldn't exist in a vacuum.(All while thinking of the dear ol' symbiote.) Considering electricity can exist in a vacuum (according to my not-so-thorough google search) the symbiote could very well be immune.

EDIT: And bam, from wikipedia, just to prove I was wrong.

Also in the mainstream Marvel Universe, symbiotes are vulnerable to the heat produced by high voltage electricity.

Carnage wasn't in his origin story. Landed on a subway main line and just laughed it off.

But of course, Carnage and continuity don't really see eye to eye.

Rino Romano is still my favorite VA for Spidey. Then Keaton. Both great.

I take the apologies in the form of homemade Rice Krispy Cubes. I'll PM my address so they can be delivered personally. :woot:

And in the Spider-Man one-shot from Siege, they get the symbiote off of Ms Marvel by kicking it/her into a generator on a telephone pole to weaken it.

But to be fair to everybody. From the same wiki-link as above.

I like RR & NPH most as Spider-Man voices so far, I think Rino loves Spider-Man a lot too
CDB & JK sound brilliant too

I think most would be thrilled with any of those guys, Altho I'm not nearly as big a fan of nph as Parker as some are. Hed prob be my last choice.

Symbiotes were naturally weakened by intense sounds and intense heat - especially large fires. Additionally, in some stories and games, (mostly mentioned in the 2000 Spider-Man game), they are also weakened by magnesium but that is probably because magnesium added to Spider-Man's webbing made it burn. However as each new symbiote has spawned a child, a natural evolution seems to not only increase their strengths, but also reduce their weaknesses. Even already existing symbiotes can mutate and develop these resistances. Still, there has not been an invulnerable symbiote in mainstream continuity, because the newest breeds can be harmed by incredible amounts of sonic waves and heat. Also in the mainstream Marvel Universe, symbiotes are vulnerable to the heat produced by high voltage electricity.

Just saying :P
