The only thing that makes me mildly excited about it is the story be Peter David.

Free roam for the 2099 city would be awesome fun. I think with only juggling two different worlds, there's more scope for at least semi free roam.

Also, the thing that makes me think there may be a free roam element is the 'see things change' part. You can only notice change if you're revisiting areas or seeing the same things/places/people, which is more likely if you have big areas you have the freedom of exploring. If it's a linear level based game, why would you go back to the same places?

I didn't much care for the voice actor in 2099. I get that he was the original "voice" of Peter Parker and that's cool that they went and got him... but something about his voice under the mask didn't "click" with me... almost like he just sounded to old for it.

I mean, if he voices 2099 Spidey in this one it won't keep me from buying the game... but, I was just "underwhelmed" with his voice work...

I love that promo pic, I liked Shatter Dimensions too so hopefully this will be awesome. I really hope we don't see Venom at all.

I liked the 2099 voice over because 1) It's not Peter Parker, and 2) There were already 2 similar sounding spideys and one dark, gritty sounding one, so it was a nice way of having 2099 sound and feel like a different person.

I completely agree about Uncharted 2. That's a perfect game regarding mood that would fit Spidey like a glove.

Oh and btw, as I said, I never meant dark when I said serious.

Yeah, the tone and mood in Uncharted would be perfect for Spider-Man. It's pretty much what we were getting with SD to although not as well developed. And I didn't mean you specifically when I said that, just a general statement from my side.

The picture I posted is pretty much what Spider's suit should look like, very nice. The voice of 2099 was kinda weird to me at first, but it was very well acted so it grew on me, still it doesn't matter to me if Dan returns or not. Would be nice for continuity's sake tho.

I think the most we can hope for in free-roam for this game is the choice of how to tackle situations, like multiple paths or something.

I just can't be ****ed any longer waiting for a good Spider-Man game that fans want. I'm so pissed off that they've decided to stick with multi-dimension Spider-Man story telling again. And don't get me wrong, I love 2099verse, but why couldn't they just give us a brilliant free roam Spider-Man 616verse game?

I waited and waited through so many **** Spider-Man games, SD was almost the dying point, but now, unless we get details of this soon, I just don't think I can give a **** anymore.

Yeah, I know it's not Peter Parker... but still, something just sounded off to me. I mean, it's been a long time since I read 2099 (and even then I didn't get TO into it) but Miguel wasn't much of a wise cracker, was he? From what I recall he was more serious and less of a joker...the 2099 section of SD still seemed like he was trying to be Peter Parker like...

Yeah, but the noir Spidey was already so serious. 2099 was jokey, but he sounded older. I agree he could have been toned down a bit, but that's in the writing, not the voice actor, and since Peter David is writing it this time around, it's bound to be better.

Josh Keaton voiced over Ultimate Spider-Man in SD. Now he's voicing over Amazing Spider-Man.

Many of us thought that Christopher Daniel Barnes would have been perfect for Spider-Man 2099. What if he ends up voicing 2099 in this game? That's not impossible.

The picture looks awesome! I love the raised webbing. The title is awesome, too. It seems like this will be a sequel to Shattered Dimensions. I can't wait to see the trailer. I hope it has actual gameplay footage instead of just cinematics.
