Nice

All the extremely positive fan feedback and reviews has been fab. Not had this much positive response to a Spidey movie since 2004.
Night and day difference between this and the ASM films.

I got a buddy coming from out of town to catch it with me tomorrow night. Beyond stoked for it. Gonna be a real good time.

Man, once again coming into this thread and seeing all these positive feelings about the film. Takes me back to the SM2 days.

Oh and I just wanna say I hate some of you--seeing the movie twice before I can even see it once. So rude :oldrazz:

Today and tomorrow marks the days where I stay far, far away from YouTube. Apparently the after credits scene is already being spoiled in thumbnails, so fair warning!

:highfive:

That sucks, dude. Hopefully it passes!

Looking forward to Apes over Spidey too, but that's also because I've loved all of the rebooted films thus far so I can't wait to see how it ends. :woot:

yeah. hopefully it passes, too.

but I don't want to take any chances so best to avoid crowded spaces like the theater......lol.

and I really hope you like Homecoming when you do see it.

So you are trying to say that the above mentioned films are not considered objectively great?

Also, the fact that spiderman2 posts his above mentioned films as being the few great MCU films, doesn't mean they are the only ones. Yet he states it as it is a fact on which everyone should agree on. I simply added a few more films to that list as this also a fact.

Lastly, I am basing my comment on RT scores, IMDB grades, my own experience, experiences of my friends or other known people and the general audience on random websites or at the cinema.

Yeah I already saw the one after credit scene on Instagram.

Not sure when I'll be seeing it, honestly. Hoping for Saturday.

Hope you enjoy it, PBP! I know your expectations are tempered, but let's both hope for the best.

These are freaking amazing.

Eight more hours until I see this. Going with a group of friends tonight ... And I think part of the reason as to why they are going is to witness me react to it. :funny:

I'm excited. I'm expecting to have a ton of fun at the movies tonight.

Have fun! My showing is in less than 6 hours (9 PM EST). Super hype!

By the by, to everyone seeing the flick tonight, have a good time and I hope you all will enjoy the film just as I did.

Gonna see it in a few hours..... Hoping for the best lol

I posted my review in the user review thread if anybody wants to check it out.

I read it. Sorry that it wasn't more of an enjoyable movie for you. Though at least you're optimistic what you didn't like can be corrected in the sequel. I can't remember from your review, did you like the overall tone of the film?

Saturday for me.

I'm taking my two brothers and my cousin to see it tonight. Then I'm going again tomorrow morning at IMAX. Really excited.

We Spider-man fans have been dragged through the mud for 13 years.

But not today. Not this day! :ikyn

It's just great, isn't it? I will have seen it three times by the end of this weekend.

That's smart. Good man.

Preeeeeeeeach!

I don't think they were any jarring shifts in tone, save for the obligatory darker villain scenes. As for liking it, I remain fairly mixed. It's very lighthearted and quippy, almost to the point of missing the emotional scaffolding that makes Spidey my favorite character.

However, like I said in my review, if the sequel has a comparatively darker and more grounded tone and manages to fix some of the problems I had, then I wil be able to appreciate this film more (for me to find any Spidey movie "meh"
is a big deal since I have basically liked every Spidey movie so far).

In fact, Feige's recent comments on Peter's journey through Civil War to Homeocoming 2 being a continuous arc gives me hope for the future. If it is a 5 film arc they are aiming for, so be it. I can be patient. :)

For those who have seen it now, how would you rank all the Spidey films. From best to worst/your favorite/least favorite. I know it's only been on viewing for those who have seen it so overtime the order might change. But just curious what the rankings are right now.
