this ^ go for the original homemade. raimis was a bit too professional

It should be like the one in Raimi's movies which was great!!! A homemade suit would suck as hell, in fact I am not worrying, because no movie producers who are in their right minds would ever go for something like that! I don't want a freaking homewade failure and I'm sure many people don't want to see that either, do you have any idea what a FLOP that will be, visually?!? We might as well return to the '60s Chuckles!

Wow... a lot of stupid sugestions sometimes on these forums.

http://img440.imageshack.us/img440/5712/romitaspidermancostume2.jpg I don't ever want to see something like this on screen. Period.

I am also a good biter:cmad:

This is hilarious! I would love to see Daredevil come out with a terrible costume and think he looks awesome:D

Peter Parker isn't a tailor but do people really want to see a costume a teenage kid would make? No:o Lets suspend our beliefs for this one. Now if he made one that can turn invisible, sprout jet wings, and dispense coffee....then we can start to critique things.

It's laughable to me that so many people are still arguing in favor of a cheaply made suit.

Oh, God the irony. :woot:

Whatever happednt owanting a great looking suit that people always ***** about here when every single costume is released? So now with Spider-Man, it musn't look good. Let's face it. If we're talking about a kid putting together a Spider-Man costume, it would look like ****. I mean when did Peter even find the time to leanr how to sew?

"Uhh... Aunt May?"

"What is it dear?"

"Can you teach me how to sew?"

"Sew? What for?"

"Uhh... you know... school project."

"So school projects consist of making you sew things now?"

"Yeah..."

"Okay dear. I'll help you."

"And can you help me sew this too?"

*throws assortment of red and blue cloth down in front of her*

"And if you can, make black webs that go in a pattern and all cross perfectly, and if it's not too much trouble, make a spider on the front, which is smaller and a bigger one on the back."

"What the hell is all this for?"

"The school project!"

"Your uncle is dead. I can't afford all of this. We barely can pay the bills. I can afford a pin and some yarn maybe, if we want to eat for all this month, but this **** is impossible."

"What the hell are you gonna do?"

"You make it!!"

"Fine! I'll do a better job because I've never sewn before!" :cmad::cmad:

jesus christ people i was only trying to put the realistic side of making the costume. raimi's costume was all silver-lined raised webbing. yeah where the hell is a kid gonna find stuff to make that?

Im gonna say this ONE last time.

Who gives a ****, its a ****ing movie i want the suit to look good, not beleivablly a teenager creation

WHO CARES?!?!?!? It doesn't matter! I don't want the suit to look like he got it at a yard sale! He's a superhero!!! So what if he's just a teenage boy. I want the costume to be awe inspiring, just like it's predecessor! The reboot suit should be as good as, if not better than, the Raimi suit. Enough with these "Kick-Ass" suggestions!!!

then you arent asking for the traditional spider-man
How is not giving a damn if it looks like he made it not wanting traditional Spidey? what does his still home made suit look like?

NOTHING LIKE ****ING KICK ASS

It would never happen, but what could be neat is if Peter first fought crime in a sort of Kick-Ass looking costume, then when he gets money from the inevitable Bugle job, he invests in something professional. They could even acknowledge this with a little scene where he climbs up a large glass building and gazes at himself admiringly, saying something like, 'Now that's more like it. Big time superhero.'

Something like ModestMr.Green mentioned would be nice alright.

To all of you who are completely dismissing others ideas and opinions, be open. I've said it many times, it doesn't have to be as done up as Raimi's costume to look good. Something simpler (possibly home made, but done well enough that it could fool you) could be just the job needed.

It's possible it could get the feel of the comic more that way, even something simple like rounder eyes as shown in the manip thread in select photos show that.

Anyone who is hating on those in favour of simpler designs (homemade, "reality" based), stop saying others have lack of taste with their own wants and views, you sound ignorant.

I (probably mentioned this in the past too) personally believe a suit done like in the "Peter's Web" series, with a bit more production value could look great (except with a completely different mask...can't blame the creator with the materials and low budgets he had). It has a fabric look, but gives good body definition and interesting highlights (which really remind me of the comic stylings).

I've thrown up a few screencaps from the series. Sorry about the quality...it was all made on a camcorder.
Like I said, a costume done like this with a bit more time and care could be great. The wrinkles could be lessened slightly, but I personallythink it adds a certain character (and "believability"/"realism") to the suit.

Ugh

Those eyes :down

And the wrinkles, bloody hell man :down

Like I said, horrible mask used there and they could try to lessen the amount of wrinkles (but keep some) and it could be great. It's probably the closest we could get to the suit in your avatar doing it this way with the fabric. Watch some of the clips of it in motio and the light on the fabric to see what I mean (white highlights).

MY problem with the Raimi suit is that it always looked too "solid". Like he was an action figure, stuck in a certain position at times and definition with lighting looked a bit off...too flat, and I feel that this fabric could remedy some of that...make him look loose...like he can slink away (can't think of a better description right now :p:sleepy: ).

if that homemade costume made it to the big screen I would cry like a baby.
tears of rage and disappointment.

Hello everyone. I'm a long time reader of these forums but a first time poster. Frankly, I wouldn't mind having this kind of costume. Change the eyes of course, they just look silly. Also you'd need to change the spider as to set it apart from Raimi's films. With these changes, I wouldn't mind a suit like that.
