I’m sure it’s been said before but Mysterio as a character really lends himself to some flexibility regarding race and gender. They could play up the whole Wizard of Oz angle with the character. Behind the mask, it would be so interesting if the booming voice we’ve been hearing was just a voice modulator belonging to a woman. Mysterio would appear to be a 6 foot + man, but it’s really a female genius in a costume

I don't know... Mysterio's civilian identity being modeled after an actual person/celebrity (unlike say Scorpion, Shocker, etc.) might be too good of an opportunity to pass up. Granted Mr. Howard is beyond dead...but still

Imagine Mysterio having guys who look like Larry and Curley as henchmen.

Would also make sense if it they were eyeing Damon—he did play an ACTOR in RAGNAROK.

What a bummer about Matt Damon. I could easily see him as a Spider-Man villain, especially if the villain is Norman Osborn or Mysterio.

Matthew McConaughey, Jason Bateman and Richard Armitage are other names that come to mind.
