Far From Home Spider-Man Sequel General Discussion and Speculation

I wonder how that would work if Marvel had plans for Spider-Woman and wanted to introduce her in the Spidey sequel, I thought there's some complications with her rights between Sony and Marvel.

It wouldn't be all that complicated in a joint-production between Sony and Marvel, though.

But it's relatively straight-forward. Sony can use all of Jessica Drew's attributes - name, costume, powers, superhero name, etc. Marvel can, independently of Sony, use the name Jessica Drew and some of her supporting cast - no superhero identity or powers. Assuming no agreement with Sony on using Spider-Woman in any Avengers movies, Captain Marvel sequel, etc., they would be free to use her outside of the costume with no powers without Sony's permission going forward or as part of a Sony-partnered Spider-Man movie otherwise. Sony, of course, could use her in any of their spinoff films either way.

Anyway, that description of a character does seem very Jessica Drew (and, more importantly, 616 Jessica Drew and not a 1610 Peter-Clone Drew - although I like that character). That being said, Marvel plays around with things so it could easily be anyone.

I wonder who the villain should be? I would go Kraven The Hunter for Spider Man Homecoming 2 with him as the main villain with the side villains being who we saw at the end of Homecoming

Now the question being will this sequel take place during Infinity War or after it or before it?

I mean if Earth is this close to being destroyed by Thanos then

Well, this movie is a Sony/Marvel collaboration, so...

But that can't happen if they make Jessica Drew too young, it would be weird. Plus I don't want her to be a love interest for Peter... You know what, I take back what I said in my previous post. I hope TheHashtagShow guys are wrong about this.

I hope to God it's Jessica Drew too. I've got my fingers crossed. My casting for her is Camila Mendes who plays Veronica on Riverdale if we need someone in their early 20s.

That said, back when KSD was writing Captain Marvel she said she wrote Carol as being approximately 37 and Jessica Drew at approximately 30. So it wouldn't be that weird IMO. The could most certainly still be BFFs.

I'm not sure if I want to see Norman and Harry again. Green Goblin story has been told too many times.

Any word on who the potential villain may be?

All we got was that casting call last week. Could be male or female with "tall ideas"

That might not even be the main villain though.

That's a fabulous costume, I hope it's what he wears in this movie.

It’s so refreshing to see spidey front in center again instead of iron man. I love iron man but Spider-Man is the king of marvel.

Is this a ride?
Yeah but people are speculating on this being from Homecoming sequel because it's a combination of the Iron Spider and the regular suit which is what Marvel did for Ant-Man and all of the heroes have designs from the movie.

Probably the new suit

I don't know why I thought that was a 4 instead of an A. Wishful thinking.

Refined MK1 suit looks great but I really wish they woulda kept the small chest emblem.

No chevrons on the shoulders, either. That suit would be cool for the sequel, all the other posters with the heroes have them wearing exact movie suits soooo...

Also found this in addition to the previously posted poster above

"During #MarvelSummer, Spider-Man will meet Guests who booked a Marvel Package in this new MCU costume"

Perfect, perfect, perfect.

Hope that's our Homecoming 2 suit.

It'd better be. Why would they call it "MCU costume" if it's not going to appear in an MCU movie?

The removal of the chevrons makes all the difference in the world. Much more streamlined and elegant. Changing the lining to a lighter shade of blue than the rest of the suit is also more aesthetically pleasing.
