The 8 years later thing doesn't bother me at all. Minor continuity errors don't bug me. I put them in the same category as bloopers. Only major breeches in continuity are a problem for me. Like if Avengers 4 comes out and completely ignores the events of Infinity War, that's an issue. A 2 second title card? Nah.

Exactly, I'm in the same boat. It's really not a big deal. It didn't make Homecoming any better or worse

This too. Honestly I don't get why people say the classic suit won't work. Look at this.

The narrative of the films all make sense. Any of the continuity errors can be summed up with time stamps and quick lines by characters and are very easy to ignore.

I'm surprised Tinkerer isn't confirmed to be back yet

I like the idea of the Tinkerer coming back but if he's involved with a majority of Spidey's villains then ehhh..

Vulture, Shocker and Mysterio would be enough. I hope Jameson or even the Smythe's are involved with Scorpion (if he gets a suit)

I hope Doc Ock gets his own tech, etc.

Ooooh, something I'd really like to see:

Homecoming - Vulture - Iron Man team up
Homecoming 2 - Mysterio - Dr Strange team up
Homecoming 3 - Kraven - Black Panther team up

(makes sense on Sony's end too if you ask me)

They even said it was a mistake so it isn't a real thing.

After these potential news, I had to start posting here. I am already very excited for this movie! At least I'll have Avengers 4 to make the the waiting easier.

Took a little bit of time to scrounge up my pitch for the sequel:

-In the aftermath of Infinity War, Peter Parker is not in a good place. After his death and resurrection, he's turned his back on superheroics, trying to cut out all memory of that part of his life, a decision supported by Aunt May but constantly questioned by Ned.

-Instead, Peter has taken a prestigious summer internship at The Daily Bugle, under the personal supervision of its crusading publisher, media titan J. Jonah Jameson. Alongside Peter are his classmate Michelle, Gwen Stacy, and Harry Osborne. They will accompany Jameson and his top staff on a worldwide crash course in high stakes journalism.

-The interns bond quickly, and romance may be in the air for Peter in Gwen. However, the trip is bound to a wrong eventually, and go wrong it does when Mysterio bursts onto the scene, using is elaborate special effects to wreak havoc and pull off impossible heists. During the first attack, Peter opts to do nothing, despite the tug of his conscience. This earns him disdain from Jonah, ironic considering the publisher's opposition to Spider-Man.

-We get some backstory on Mysterio: A fame obsessed SFX master who became enamored with superheroes. But without the looks or moral qualms to be a hero, he has decided to pioneer a new field of "super villain", with help from The Tinkerer, who fled oversees after the events of Homecoming. It is implied that Tinkerer is manipulating Beck towards a higher plan, following orders from the mysterious Ana Kravinoff.

-There is a subplot involving Ned back in NYC stuck with Flash as he pieces together a "Friendly Neighborhood Club" in honor of Spider-man, believed by most of the public to have been killed in action during the events of Infinity War.

-The intern tour continues, and Mysterio strikes in their presence again. This time, Peter tries to protect his friends. This time, however, a security guard is killed, weighing heavily on our heroes conscience. When Mysterio attacks a third time, Peter is ready, and goes into battle in a makeshift costume, only to be sorely defeated. Jonah decides to call off the tour early, and takes the interns home to New York. Little do they know this is all following the villain's plan.

-In New York, Toomes finds himself being transported alongside Mac Gargan and Shocker. They are broken out by Kravinoff and brought before Mysterio, who tries to present himself as a grand mastermind. Toomes makes it clear he has no intent of returning to crime, and is locked up while the villains plan their next attack.

-Back at home, Peter grapples with the questions churning inside him. Does he return to heroics, even after a brutal defeat, or accept a simple, normal life, finishing school, reporting, dating Gwen?

-Mysterio launches his biggest attack yet, laying NYC under siege, with his eyes set on a prototype weapon in OsCorp Tower. As the city succumbs to panic and fear, Peter, Harry and Gwen find themselves trapped in the Bugle when Frita Foswell is revealed to be working for Mysterio, using the Bugle's access to help pull off the heists.

-With the city's law enforcement scrambled, Flash's ragtag Spider-Gang, made up of a random assortment of kids, cops, and average citizens impacted by Spider-man are all that stands between Mysterio's gang and OsCorp Tower. Toomes, escaping the lair, joins them.

-Peter breaks free with help from Jameson, apprehending Frita. He then rushes off, but the others go straight to Oscorp. Peter retrieves his Spider-Man suit and goes into action at last, fighting back the gang, but at a cost: Flash takes a bullet to the spine saving Ned paralyzing him from the waist down. And Mysterio is nowhere to be found.

-Toomes confronts Spider-Man and reveals the villains plans. With Harry's help, they enter the building. Together Harry, Gwen, Toomes, and Spider-Man are able to defeat Mysterio, who seemingly dies. Waiting for the police to arrive, Toomes and Peter have a heart to heart conversation where Peter realizes how he has inspired those around him to rise to something better. He finally accepts his responsibility. Toomes voluntarily returns to prison, with Jameson promising to find him the best lawyer money can buy. Spider-Man swings off into the sunrise.

In conclusion, Peter eagerly anticipates the start of his senior year, a new job with the Bugle, his new friends, new girlfriend, and new look on life as Spider-man. Even he and Flash get a fresh start as the injured ex-bully adjusts to life in a wheelchair. For once, things are finally looking up for Peter Parker....

POST CREDITS SCENE: Ana Kravinoff assembles Gargan, Shocker, and a still alive Mysterio to her boss, the "Master Planner". He chastises her for letting Toomes slip away, but she comments they may have someone more eager for revenge and presents an image of Liz Toomes to her boss, revealed as Doctor Otto Octavious, as played by none other than...

Hey, thank you, CaptainWagner! It's a pleasure posting here.
By the way, there are some great ideas in your post, and the choices for Gwen and Ana are amazing.

As far as the S6 appearing, I want it made up of villains that haven't been used in prior films already, apart from the MCU ones. And yes, this means no Doctor Octopus, I'm not a purist. If they insist on using Ock, then I'd prefer they just use Carolyn rather than Otto again.

Why wouldn't you want Otto? He's not been seen in a film since 2004 at this point and he is easily Spidey's number 2 villain (and in certain periods of history has been his number 1). Also, he is the team's iconic leader.

Like I said, I'm not a purist, and I want Marvel to stick to their guns regarding unused villains, as much as I love Otto. Plus if they use Carolyn it'd be cool because Spidey has virtually no prominent female villains. They could make her just as ruthless as Otto.

They just need to introduce Black Cat and Silver Sable.

I don't take unused villains to mean they will never use a villain used in the past ever. Come 3rd film, I think it is time to bring Ock back. Just no Goblins :o

The S6 and Master Planner can easily be melded into the same film, and those being 2 of Spider-Man's best stories, I want to see Marvel Studios tackle it. Besides, Carolyn has never been a great villain. Yes, Marvel has no prominent female villains, but Otto is a classic villain not just for Spider-Man, but for comics. I would not sacrifice one of the best villains in comics just so they could use a much lesser female version. Spider-Man has many unused female villains that are screaming to be used, like Black Cat. If you need a female foe for Spidey, use someone like her.

Good point, but I would greatly prefer Kraven as the main antagonist of the third film.
