The biggest takeaways from this article IMO is that it reveals that new male and female leads are being sought after. I wonder.... maybe Miles Morales and Gwen Stacey?

Weren't they already rumored to be taking auditions for Gwen? Judging by the early casting call, I'd say the other male lead is probably Harry. But who knows? Any way, I'm just partying at the news about Mysterio AND Toomes coming back!

Also, there's no way they go full-on fishbowl. There's been plenty of fan designs that show just how cool Mysterio can look when done right.

It wouldn't be a bad thing, necessarily. Scorpion is someone who could pop-up a bunch and with Sony's want for a Sinister Six film, he'd easily fit into those plans.

Not a fan of Mysterio but I trust Marvel. If they were able to make Vulture tolerable I'm sure they can do the same with Beck.

What about Scorpion, though? I was kind of looking forward to seeing him.

I hope he's a real mental challenge for Spidey, intellectually and emotionally. I've been wanting something more like that for a while.

Gyllenhaal cast as Mysterio?? Absolutely awesome. I am so on board with this--a great actor and easily one of my favorite Spidey villains. This is exciting!

So if I had to guess for an MCU Sinister Six it would be

- Vulture (introduced in homecoming)
- Scorpion (introduced in homecoming)
- Shocker (introduced in homecoming)
- Chameleon (tech introduced in Winter Soldier and hinted at in homecoming with identity theft related ads)
- Mysterio (for the sequel)
- Kraven (one of Tom's favorites, was going to be included in the Webb S6, rumors about his own movie, one of the few major Spidey villains not used yet, one of the original S6)

And none of these have been in the Raimi and Webb films (not counting Bruce Campbell potentially being Quintin Beck)

Maybe I'm just old school but any version of the 6 seems wrong without Ock and more importantly, Ock needs to be the leader.
