So apparently when all the reviews are in, Beenox has a big announcement? Then someone made a comment of "A Free Roam city only takes 152 MB."

What could it mean!? ;) lol

Where did you see that? If it's true, I want them to announce something HUGE!!

Wait, who hasn't reviewed the game yet?

Does that mean Beenox is already working on another Spidey game?

I am at 167 challenges complete. I have gotten all of them throughout every level leading up to Golbin. I am just missing a few in Goblin, but like half for Carnage and Ock.

Hmm, could be they're doing another game like sm:sd or they could be working on the next movie game.

oh dear god please have it be a free roam Spider-man 2099 game!!!

That would be so bad ass. Nueva York looks so freaking awesome in this game...imagine if you could free roam it!

That would be so sweet. It was very nice to look at, but I was sad when I kept going into the invisible barriers. I wanted to go out and explore! :P

Yeah, with a plot/style similar to the one that was brought up a page or two back.

I'm also hoping for an awesome freeroam 616 game. Or partial freeroam atleast. But they basically need to scrap the whole combat system from shattered dimensions. They need a more mature, controlled set of moves. I'd constantly hear spidey say 'hooray for violence' in SD, and it made me think that spidey shouldn't be about violence, he's more about preventing violence.

They should focus more on bullet dodging and quickly closing gaps between you and an enemy. One or two punches should handle most, he doesn't need to constantly administer moves that would kill or paralyze people.
The effort should be more in landing the punch while avoiding the knives and guns. And the webshooters should be more useful as long range weapons and as a way to permanently disarm enemies. I imagine a scenario like this:

From a distance, behind cover or at a hight point, you observe a group of three enemies standing around a hostage. The enemy closest to the hostage has a gun, and will shoot them if they see you approach.
From a distance, you shoot a (long range) web projectile at the enemy with the gun, knockin it out of his hand. You dive into the room and plant a kick on the same enemies chest, backflipping off of him and knocking him to the ground. As soon as you touch the ground, a second enemy swings at you, you dodge and knock him out with one punch. You notice the third guy going for the gun. You switch web types, and proceed to fire a medium range stream of webbing that binds his arms and legs. He falls to the ground in front the gun defeated. You rescue the hostage and done.

So basically the fights are shorter but sweeter.

They posted it on their official facebook page. I'll get a link if people have trouble finding it.

Please let it be true! And please give them more time! They have alot of potential to make something even better than SD.

I'd be fine with a free roam Noir or 2099 game though.

Beenox better not say "We are doing a free roam Ultimate Spider-Man game!"

I would love to see another Ultimate Spider-Man game done exactly the same way the USM levels were done in this one. The first USM game was great so an updated storyline and graphics would be awesome.

I'm very curious to see what they do with the new reboot's video game. Maybe try something a little different this time with the art direction and style? I loved what they did with the Amazing portion of Shattered Dimensions. No reason that couldn't work for the movie's eventual game. I remember the cut scenes from the Spider-Man 3 game were awful.

Agreed. Why does it always have to look realistic anyway when making a Movie tie-in game? I'd rather have something more stylized. I'd really prefer the movie's plot, but using comic style graphics.

Be thankful that they're starting on a movie tie-in this early then.

Normally, movie tie-in games start production around one year or one year and a half before the movie is released which is one of the main reasons they end up sucking so bad.

Spider-man 2 continues to be the best freeroam game that we've seen so far and even that was repetitive. It needs time to develop and the company can't be pressured by Sony (as if that's not going to happen), for something good to come out.

Absolutely. The game may be based on the movie, but the movie is based on the comics so having a more stylized look like SD has would be a welcomed change of pace. The first Spider-Man movie game was something new and refreshing. The second one was a lot of fun, but the third one completely fell flat on it's face.

In my opinion, USM has been the best one up until now.
