I thought the fish woman would be Namorita, but that would have been far too obscure for this game. No clue on the Beautiful Bearded Woman and Two-Headed Cow, though.

Clearly Hercules.

I just got this game for my anniversary. I'm enjoying it so far. I just finished the fight with Kraven. I love the incorporation of first person with the fights. I think I'm going to jump into 2099 next, then Noir, Ultimate. This game definately has replay value. I know I missed a few challenges in Amazing, I'd like to go back and get them once I beat the game. Pretty solid so far.:hrt:

Exactly the same order as I did!

After completing the game, the only levels I can stand replaying are the noir ones. I use the red and blue concept suit, with christopher barnes voice, it's like being tas spidey. I hate all the other dimensions, combat is too chaotic and ******ed.

I played through on hard the first time, and who ever said this is not a button masher I completely disagree. After failing like 10 tmes in a row protecting civilians on the scorpion level, the only way I could attack fast enough to save the hostages was by mashing the hell out of a single button throughout the entire period. I barely had to look at the screen, just press press press press.
And that god damn semi-auto aim. It made things that should be easy, like targeting a guy with a shield amongst a group, ****ing infuriating! I'm pointing directly at the guy, he's the closest enemy to me, and I suddenly attack in the opposite direction at the guy across the room. It made controlled combat impossible, no choice but to pump the hell out of fast attack until everythings dead.

Noir on the other hand, you get to actually use strategy. I love doing takedowns from the walls. And that assassin creed/infamous style auto-balance system is beautiful! If there's anything that should be used in the next game, it's that auto balance system along with the perch points. Although I cringe everytime I see spidey shoot a web to something practically within arms reach. JUST JUMP TO IT. The evasive stance is a nice touch too, but could be better.

^Man I really hate the Scorpion level. It's frustrating as hell and not even the least bit fun.

The levels I enjoy replaying most have been all the Noir levels, the Mysterio level and...well that's it. The Hobgoblin one is quite fun. But I still think it was worth playing all the other levels again on hard since I got cool figurines that way.

Wow. Then more power to ya. I completely HATED that level. not only was the Noir section a complete rip-off from a certain comic book game, but the Ultimate and Amazing section (moreso the Amazing one) are repetitive and boring as hell. The thing that made the experience worse was the Hard difficulty, though my own doing, and a glitch that would make me sink out of the island in the middle of the fight, and after coming back, having to restart the creature fight ALL OVER AGAIN! It was just horrible.

Don't even get me started on the 2099 section. That's when I discovered the game's poor collision detection system. I would pass through the purple circles, and I would get hit no matter what. And Spidey was also too fast to control in time, something I didn't discover in the other free-falling sections. But then, restarting the battle from the NOIR section if you quit the game after turning the console off was the last straw.

I know it sounds I hate the game. I don't. All the other levels besides this one and the Scorpion one were challenging, but not frustrating. But I just wonder how this game might have turned out if Activision would have given Beenox more development time to fix most of the bugs and glitches, and even add a feature or two.

Well it's a very frustrating level but I just love Mysterio too much :oldrazz:

And I totally get what you mean about the 2099 section glitch. It happens me ALOT too. I thought like "was there a purple cloud right after it or what?" but discovered it wasn't.

Yeah, I replayed the game again after finishing it for the first time, and a lot of the flaws are more noticeable the second time around. It's still fun to play, but the bloody repetition in the game is a drag. Still not wild about the controls either.

Agree the gameplay in Amazing, Ultimate and 2099 feels almost exactly the same with Ultimate differing the most due to the Rage mode. It's almost only about fighting huge hordes of enemies and mash, mash, mash. It's extremely chaotic and hectic and sometimes I just have to take a break just to relax my senses lol. The main plus in those levels is the bosses.

Yea the repetition got to me before my first play through ended so no doubt itll be really evident on the next run throughs.

Lol. It may have been pointed out already, but I just noticed something hilarious in the Carnage level. In the area with all the cells and where you have to rescue the one scientist, go over to the left in the area. Deadpool and Electro are sharing the one cell. Electro is sitting there sulking and Deadpool is sitting on the floor throwing a baseball bouncing off his head back and forth. :woot::woot:

haha, i never noticed. Ima check that out.

I didn't get to play this, only got to watch my brother play it since he rented it. I loved the Deadpool level. He said that's probably his favorite level aside from the Noir levels.

Just platinumed the game, so I finally got to wear the Scarlet Spidey outfit (which is freakin' niiiice)

After multiple playthroughs to finish all the challenges I started liking this game even more. It started hitting me how well done it is. I think Amazing is my favorite dimension, I love the look, the (over the top :hehe:) combat, and they had some great levels.

I'm having fun with the web of destiny - It's a really cool feature and makes you see everything the game has to offer - like being a kid with my nes again and playing the shock outta a game.

Amazing is by far my favorite dimension although as I level up Spidey's moves, the "webbing strikes" are just too much for me. When did Pete get a lantern power ring? I really don't want to see that EVER AGAIN. I find myself stopping mid combo just to avoid seeing it.

It's one of the best Spider-man games but as a video game it's still mediocre.

Ultimate Spider-man from 2005 is still my all-time greatest Spider-man game. The moves and fighting was the best video game representation of the comic book ever. He moved, jumped, punched and used his webbing just like the source material. Web of shadows had the crazy dragon ball light show when he hit and SD has the awful Green Lantern moves.

Ultimate was perfect, but short. Ultimate or 616 is the way to go. A shame Ultimate lost it's way, because that comic was special.

Lol, wow, I didn't even notice that. I'll have to check it out now.

I just realised......I never thought of it until now lol but the game has no QTE. I'm so sick of QTE in so many games, especially during boss battles. I'm happy they never included that in this game and I hope they won't return to that in the future.

The challenge in the Goblin section of Noir that has you trying to disable 10 guards without setting off an alarm is nearly impossible on hard. I've completed all challenges except for that one on that level. I might have to go back and try on med or easy.

I pulled that off on my first time playing the level....though i restarted the beginning part around 5 times in order to perfect it before i actually pulled it off :p

it takes patience and you have to think strategically regarding where you're going to move and how you are going to strike. Then you pretty much just systematically take them out one by one. I had a fun time with that one. It's a good challenge.

I breezed through the challenge that has you take them out in all 6 different ways. That one was fun and fairly easy to pull off but the other one on hard has proven to be a major pain in the ass.

I just beat Sandman's level on hard. I like that one of the challenges is to find and grab Juggernaut's helmet in the last sand storm battle. I had no idea it was even in there. I managed to complete all except for the 8 hidden spiders. I have to say, that level is extremely short.

Just to alleviate any confusion: was talking about the 10 consecutive takedowns without being notices on hard, not the 6 different takedowns.

the Juggernaut helmet one just kinda fell into my lap. I was web tossing things at random in the tornado and then all the sudden i got that accomplishment. I was like "ok...sweet!" lol

Yeah, I'm talking about both. I pulled off the 6 different ones on hard with ease but the 10 in a row is a pain. I'll try it again but I would get to 8 or 9 and then get spotted. Every other challenge in the game has been fairly easy to pull off with the exception of this one.

I'm at 148/180. Working my way up to that manga costume.
