the one i would love to see is spiderman new heights and spiderman vision. These would be cool vision will be like that mirror edge game which was awesome!!!!!! gamestop gave it a 10/10

this'll sound really queer but i'd like to see a game that directly relates to issue 500 of ASM. I'd like to play through his life only thing that'd be kind of like any other game. but i do like that idea of new heights and vision.

ohh, these are concepts and ideas. there are some on that list that i want to see, and some i really don't.

  • Spider-Man: Adaptation (360, PS3, Wii) - Spidey travels all over the globe, from Tokyo to Paris to Moscow to take out his foes

  • Spider-Man: Contest of Champions (360, PS3, Wii) - Destructable fighter for 2-4 players with Spider-Man, Venom, Wolverine, Electro, Doc Oc, Carnage and Green Goblin
  • Spider-Man: Mass Evolution (360, PS3, Wii) - Spidey's skills, from speed to strength to spider-senses are upgradeable as you play

  • Spider-Man: Webslinger (360, PS3, Wii) - Use precision web aiming to target enemies, build web slingshots and snipe enemies
Yeah, tbh, one of the ones that I do think is interesting is Spider-Man: New Heights. I also like Spider-Man: Gangs of New York.

Some of these look really awesome and some just look f%#king stupid.

The only one's I like are Vision and Tactics.

The rest are stupid. Can't we just get a Spidey 2099 game instead of wasting our time with something lame like Hero Evolved?

i've heard of 2099 but never read about him or his orgin. Anyone has something of his orgin

Also...Apparently they were going to make a Marvel 2099 game in the 90s...

Marvel 2099: One Nation Under Doom
Platform: PlayStation
Publisher: Mindscape
Developer: Saffire

The Basics

Is there any future to the future? That's what you, the player, might have decided in Mindscape's Marvel 2099: One Nation Under Doom for the Sony PlayStation. Based on Marvel Comics' 2099 line of comic books, this game would have taken place in a bleak, dystopian future where major corporations controlled a polluted, "used car" tech-intensive planet that was set roughly 100 years after the normal Marvel family of titles. As luck (and sales quotas) would have it, future counterparts to modern Marvel characters would have popped up, many intent on changing the world. In some cases, these heroes and villains were limited to parallels of same-named forebears (like Spider-Man 2099, Daredevil 2099, and Punisher 2099), while others (such as The Fantastic Four 2099 and Doom 2099) were being designed as time-travelers from the 20th century - or possible clones of the originals.

With the entire world as its stage, the game's plot would have loosely played out 1995's "One Nation Under Doom" comic storyline, told through impressively rendered cutscenes. In it, the decidedly Machiavellian Dr. Victor Von Doom has wrestled control of the United States from its corporate-controlled puppet government and declared himself president. Meanwhile, Anthony Herod - a villain of such epic proportions that even Doom is put to shame - has begun machinations to destroy not only this new head of state, but also dominate the entire world. Trapped in the middle of this conflagration, you would have controlled a group of superpowered beings using them to return some semblance of freedom to the planet.

Much along the lines of Playmates' Skeleton Warriors or Acclaim's Iron Man/XO Manowar, this would have been a 2D side-scrolling game with 3D rendered characters. But unlike the aforementioned others, it would have given you the choice of a whopping eight different heroes to play, including Spider-Man 2099, Hulk 2099, Thing 2099, Punisher 2099, Ghost Rider 2099, Daredevil 2099, and characters from the X-Men 2099 team. If nothing else, this title promised quite a bit of variety and replayability for those of us who never really got over our side-scrolling platform-game fixation.
WHAT HAPPENED?
Mindscape went through reorganization and trimmed back all console titles. Marvel 2099 was one of the games to go. It's noteworthy to mention that the developer, Saffire, went on to produce Bio F.R.E.A.K.S. and Rampage World Tour for the N64.

I'll probably be getting this for Christmas. So, I'll be on here ranting/praising. Whichever it may be.

How does my idea sound queer?

I personally say screw a full length story. I feel as if they should break the norm for the next comic based game.

I think the best route to go would be to have "comic missions" within a free roam world. Maybe use ASM 500 as a template. Ever since I read that story and played SM2 I felt it would be a perfect idea for a game.

Have Spidey get mixed up in some kinda mystical time mumbo jumbo.
That sends him to different time periods within his life.

This way it is impossible to run into a problem where you can't fit in certain bosses that people want to see. Most of the story will not have to fit together seamlessly. Plus you can get variety with different powers and costumes.

This idea will probably never see the light of day.

But if I had another idea it would be to emmerse Players more into a GTA like world with Spidey. Using his supporting cast, secret identity, and money more appropriately.

If they took SM2 and build upon it like that. It would see like crazy. That idea has a chance. But its safe to bet they wouldn't do it any justice anyways....:csad:

Wife is getting me this for Christmas. Any word on downloadable content? I watched a bunch of vids and youtube and look forward to playing this.

MarvelWarrior: No word on Downloadable Content and I'm sure they will not be releasing any this late in the game.

Styleshift: Sorry, I didn't mean any offense and I honestly didn't know you said something like that. I was honestly gonna say "weird" since it was kind of like reliving his whole life again.

It's all good.
Jms wrote the story anyways.

I just want that idea to be published. That would allow them to "cheat" a bit and give us different situations and levels. Plus we'd be able to get extra costumes.

I can't confirm or deny downloadable content (because I don't know myself) but I'll say this:

It's highly unlikely.

watch the end credits twice on the autosave and then on the third autosave start it should go to the beginning of the game.

Okay... I recently got the Xbox 360 version of this game. Couldn't wait to play it. Especially after that Spider-Man: Friend or Foe travesty. After playing this for the last two hours, here are my lists of possitives and negatives...

Positives:
1) Great graphics
2) Cool web-slinging

Negatives:
1) Game is way too easy. I keeping on gliding through it without hardly even trying.
2) Horrible casting choice for Spider-Man's voice. Has to be the most ******ed voice on Spider-Man I've ever heard.
3) Storyline drags and becomes quite redundant and boring. (*hoping it still might get better, but really beginning to doubt*)
4) Since when does a B character like Luke Cage become a mentor (*and a rude/bossy one at that*) to someone like Spider-Man? Spidey has tons of experience and powers beyond anything that Cage has to offer. "Contrived and Pathetic"!

Anyway, after the let down of wasting my time and money on a "kiddie" game like Friend Or Foe, this one brings me down. I'm a huge Spider-Man fan and had really looked forward to playing this game. Oh well, that's about it. No challenge here.

Dang...buying it for Christmas is not a great thing to do...

Screw WoS, I'm waiting for the release of I Am Alive.

Yep. got it for Chrimbo. I'm enjoying it...though...it doesn't really seem like a "Spidey" game. The combat IS the best thing....by FAR!

here's something new; i sort of found out an interesting way to do a "triple jump" but it's not really a triple jump.

For this trick, you gotta be tilting the analog forward.

A good way to start it is tilt analog forward then tap R2 to do a webzip. Once you land on the ground, while still tilting forward, immediately press X and spidey should do a fast lunge (first jump). While in the air, press X to jump again (second jump) then after that jump while still tilting analog press R1+X and he should do a spin similar to the short lounge (R1+X) on the ground.

Some of you already know that but I just found it pretty cool despite it being a no-logic trick.

Don't you learn "triple jump" on the beginning of the game?

I did a t-j during one of the bouts with Cage.

Got it for Christmas and love it. I will be playing this one over and over for years to come.
