I want a Deadpool cameo!

Deadpool would be great in this game. Seeing that they could get away with some jokes that break the 4th wall. Plus him and Spidey would be great together with the sense of humor they both have.

and how often do we see the different teams show up during battles across NYC. Unless its one of Marvel's huge crossovers, each title usually tends to operate on its own with the X-men taking care of X-men fights, FF, Avengers, etc... doing the same. I would say thats pretty representative of how things are often handled in the comics

I'm not complaining. I'm just saying that things are a little more complicated than they were in say 1960-1970. In the comics throughout the 90's to today crossovers happen ALL the time. I don't think there was a comic release day where someone wasn't teaming up in the eighties.

So because it's so complicated, let's get some info as to where the others are. Why only Wolverine? I know it's because he's a fan favorite in the real world. But what is going on in the storyline?

In the comics things never happen that completely ruin New York without someone else showing up. In the comics, if Wolverine is involved, they take the time to explain that the other X-Men are busy with something OR that it is a situation that doesn't need them.

I'd like this to lead into another game or at least have the possibility to. That's usually the sign of a well created storyline, you can do more with it.


X-Men are fighting Sentinels in LA. Fine that's all he'd have to say. Fantastic Four, no one has heard from them in weeks...Perfect! (Then we could have a game or something with them? See it'd be cool..)

In the comics, if Wolverine is involved, they take the time to explain that the other X-Men are busy with something OR that it is a situation that doesn't need them.

New Avengers is a good example of this. How Wolverine was in the savage land and he ended up teaming up with (and later joining) the new avengers.

There WAS a reason why he had been there. although i forgot what it was...

I'm really liking character designs. Kingpin looks cool. His car looked pretty crappy though, assuming that was his car....I hope in-game he gets out of a limo or a better modeled Mercedes/BMW

Considering how the "symbi-monsters" look, to me, Kingpin doesn't look that bad.

I liked that hit Spidey took where he was falling backwards away from the building. Just looked cool.

I agree, a huge step forward, I really wanted to like Spider-man 3, but it seemed so rushed. I have faith that Web of Shadows will be great, so far every video that I have watched has impressed me

Expect it to be the inferior version. Not much is known but it will most likely be the PS2 port with motion controls tacked on like with SM3. 2 different studios will be handling the development and as with most Activsion games, the 360/PS3 will most likely get the better end of the deal

Expect it to be the inferior version. Its being developed by Shaba games alongside the PS2 version while the 360/PS3/PC are being developed by Treyarch. Obviously it will have motion controls but thats all thats known so far. In SM3, it was the same way and the 2 developers made 2 different games based on the same story. SM3 for the 360/PS3 wasnt a great game but it was alot better than the one Shaba made for the other systems

Shaba Games: 360 and PS3
Treyarch: Wii
Amaze Entertainment: PS2, PSP, DS
Aspyr: PC (confirmed to be a 360/PS3 port)

360, PS3, and PC are all rated T for Teen, which is the official rating of the game. The screenshots, trailers, and all of the previews up to this point are all from this version.

Wii is rated RP for Rating Pending, it's possible it could be T or E since Treyarch is developing the game.

PS2, PSP, and DS are all rated E10 for ages 10 and up. The PS2 and PSP version is subtitled "Amazing Allies Edition" which can only mean that extra content has been added to make up for some type of change in the storyline (graphics will be an obvious change).
