Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst and James Franco are being called back to the set of Spiderman III for reshoots, after test audiences complained the movie was lacking in action.

Franco, who plays Spider-man's alter-ego Peter Parker's troubled friend Harry Osborn in the superhero movies, has just finished filming comedy drama Camille with Sienna Miller.

He told MTV: "The next thing I'm shooting? Re-shoots on Spider-Man… Probably next month.

"(Director Sam Raimi) wants more action."

Supposedly Sony isnt so happy with the first cut of the film.

I hope they dont change the release date, that would suck.

Lacking action???! From the look of the teaser trailer spidey 3 seems to be the one with the most action.

Test audiences??? Bull ****ing ****. The film is far from finished.

Test audiences are the worse thing. They never watch a movie in order to enjoy it, only to pick on it's potential flaws and blow them out of proportion.

^ in CGI you're right, they're FAR from finished, but the film has been shot, so they can easily show a very rough cut of it to test audiences, and fill in the UNfinished CGI-sequences, with storyboards or something... it's been done before.

Right. The question is, did they have time to finish editing. Sometimes a movie's problems can be solved by simply timing the editing a little better.

Test audiences? No way, we knew they were gonna reshoot in LA before they were filming in New York, Retroman found a link to a person's blog talking about there apartment being done up sometime in September, hope he still has that link, i want some more pics.

Tobey in reshoots? did you see how he looks in that last pic from Aug 19th? He gains weight really fast... There can't be close ups on him...

Test audience? right:rolleyes: People deciding the movie needs more action what a joke. Why not let them do the reshooting. I don't believe any of it. And from the looks of it this one will have much more action than the first two so how is it possible to find a lack of action in any cut of this film. I call this major BS

If the person who wrote that had a little common sense he'd know that movies aren't tested so far in advance. With 9 months to go? Please...

Double post. Sorry.

How the hell is that a double post, when there's only one post there??

SPAMMER!!!!! :down

This is another case of overseas press taking things completely out of context. The MTV article this is talking about said nothing about test audiences, I'm sure these PICKUP shots (not reshoot) were scheduled all along.
