Got a few more pics from free comic book day. The suit isnt 100% completed yet, but should be done by Phoenix Comic Con at the end of May.

I know the back of the mask looks a little bunchy but thats because like I said it wasnt completely done and I was running out of time, but it was good to see how the wet look material looked outside.

BTW...I got 2 samples of fabric for possible Spider-eyes...and SCORE!!!

Vogue fabrics has this stuff called buckram...basically you can form it to stiffen fabric. Anyway I got 2 different samples and the Buckram-Stabilizer-White-20" Part 854 is PERFECT. You can see out fairly well (40-35% visibility) but you cant see someone's eyes at ALL.

I should have pics tonight.

When I get the mesh samples in the mail, I'll update again.

Working on a set of web-shooters for a client...

I'll pep this model and maybe fiberglass it. At some point I'll mold it and cast it in resin or metallic-tinted urethane. It's missing the nozzle, but that's because I found a great nozzle when I was trapesing through Wal-Mart and will add it later.

so I might be going to NY sometime this summer and I really really would want to wear a spidey costume(being the geek that I am)
does anybody know where i can get a good quality spidey suit at an affordable price?(like possibly below $100? I'm low on cash at the moment =/ )

in terms of specifics, I'd like the costume that's used at universal studios.... but i'm fine with whatever is availabe, as long as it looks good and is affordable

Oh... lots of goodies. Here's my latest creation. Myself and a fellow costumer made the molds... I made the undersuit and attached all the armour. . Boots are custom made.

Not spidey but Im about to start work on a full urethane webbing suit. I'll post progress pics once underway.

I agree that suit looks Bad ass tight t:..Brad did an awsome job on it..there were some TDK Suit makers selling these exact Replicas on Ebay for almost $2,000 last year for the heights of 6'1 to 6'5 but they only sold several of them because the time and effort to make these suits is drastically difficult. I havnt seen any beening posted up lately like they said they were going to post more up this year...Oh By the way Brad is that suit glued on the manaquin for show or can you actually wear it as well? I dont see the gloves are they underneath or inside the black mold gauntlets? Other than ...it looks freakin Bad Ass Nice Job Brad. t:

I'm not sure why you're insulting him...but I've talked to the guy and he seemed legit. He had very detailed ideas for doing webbing and posted more than enough progress photos.

Sounds like you guys have some beef if you're going to post something you can't back up as truth.

Just throwing it out there that I've bought copies of a whole bunch of Jester's molds and will be offering them...

1. Urethane spiders - front and back

Prices: $55 + shipping for either front or back spiders. $90 for the set.

2. Spiderman Face shell

Price of faceshell: $160 + shipping ($10-$15 depending on where you live)

3. Movie-style frames and lenses

Made exactly the same way Jester's were. Mesh with pearl white on the front, black on the back with lenses in front

Due to the cost of doing them in glass and getting the right curve, the price is $150 for the lenses. If a lot of people buy them, the cost will go down.

I am currently making a Urethane webbing suit. Here's a pic of the foot.

I recently received some paint and I thought I'd give it a try. It has some stretch and bonds fairly well to the urethane however if rubbed alot it will come off.... but it doesnt damage the webbing or suit and can easily be re-applied.

So depending on what the owner of this suits wants.... the webbing may be silver.

Dam that looks Nice!t: ..but yeah you could tell in this photo that the paint is falling apart its like you would have to apply it so many times for it to stay on but then again its still gonna come off anyway..and worse of all.. once you glue it onto the Lycra then you cant really do anything about it..Brad have you ever thought about airbrushing? Would that work?

Oh.. the only reason the paint is coming off is because I stretched the the webbing ALOT and rubbed on the paint till some came off. I was testing what sort of treatment the paint can withstand. Under "Normal" wear and tear I doubt there will be a problem, but if it does come off it's easily fixed. It's painted by hand so it doesnt matter if it's already attached to the suit. Airbrushing wouldnt work.
