The Dark Knight Spoilers and Speculation

i dont have time to write a detailed post myself unfortunately -
ill have a stab at a quick list too:-

Wayne lives in penthouse
Rachel dies/joker fights batman in penthouse/kidnaps rachel
AMH is a reporter/wayne employee who doesnt like bruce wayne
Confusion as it was thought AMH was Brian the Vigilante
Maybe there IS another character who is the Vigilante
Joker gets fear toxined by scarecrow and has no effect on him
Rival gangs are everywhere - Joker does maroni in (latest filming)
We know Jokers truck gets flipped by misslies from batpod
tumbler gets blown up, swat van lands in water
joker spits or has acid due to batmans new suit which is titanium plated & therefore acid resistant. Joker appear to be a bomb expert- bombs on ferry - in prisoners stomach
cops feature a lot in the film - Loeb dies. We think Gordon fakes his death to save someone in his family who joker kidnaps. No idea why candy factory is being blown up - joker holds up a bank possibly twice in the film - the opening prologue will be the Grumpy/Chuckles scene (which is the double homicide at end of BB), we know ledger is one of the clowns, we know ledger gets interrogated by batman, batman foils scarewcrow drug sales, we have some guesses going on as to how joker gets scarred - we think its the whole zipline bank robbery thing - there is a clown and Jack the Ripper theme going on, joker probbaly cuts one side of his face himself, we know there appears to be an underground garage where tumbler and cave stuff is kept, dent becomes 2 face (fact), confusion regarding his white chalky skin and flesh problems, we know batman tricks joker into disbelieving his is bruce wayne, dent confesses to being batman, dead batman smashes into building, we know the whole at dinner 'everyone will die' is striaght from the comics, the ferry thing i think is set up by 2 face - as its 2 ferries - no one should be in any doubt that the joker would do that, we know that Dent lays a trap for Joker and they capture joker after the truck flip. joker busts out using his little stomach bombs. whats the garbage truck getting involved in the chase for?? maybe a bomb in it as a decoy while joker gets away somewhere else? we know a helipcopter gets taken down, why is Lau involved, how the hell is joker intercepting the TV and Radio stations, we know the film ends with joker in arkham meeting harley quinn (from the sides)

basically we know the whole film - someone needs to put a Heroes style map on their wall and just piece this damn thing tpgether

No no...

His wife is Barbra in the comics as well, his first wife. He has a son called James in the comics as well.

In many of the comics Barbra, his daughter is adopted, and in some of them she's his niece.

hmm i knew everything about the daughter but i hold my hands up and admitt i did not know his wife was named that in the comics as well. guess its cause she's not spoke of that often

I'm on my way out hyperhulka but many many of the things you posted are wrong and have been debugged. Hopefully someone can fill you in. Most of the answers are in the previous 4 pages of this thread though.

Just to help you out Hyper so you are up to speed, since most of this is wrong I'm gonna PM you the sides... but most of what you have written is wrong. Maroni in scene 305,306 is sparred his life by Two face by the flip of a coin. There are lots more, once I'm back on my other computer I'll PM you all the call sheets and stuff I have. Anyone else need them, send me a PM over the weekend and I'll send you some of this stuff and get you up to speed.

Where do you find these? Someone PMed them to me but can someone please post the exact website?

the boat scene is intriguing. we know gotham gets evacuated. there is plenty of photographic evidence of that. but what the sequence suggests, a great joker scenario, is called 'the prisoner's dilemma.' http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prisoner_dilemma

two people (or groups here) are pitted against each other. stay together and both sides will 'win.' that is both sides come out better than in any other scenario. but cooperation is an unknown variable. using only known variables (one's own actions) it is better to turn on the other. the reward is less but the certainty is absolute. so, in the supposed boat scene above, does one act with certainty and kill others to assure self-survival (despite the 'cost' of having done the deed?) or does one hope for the eventuality of the other's cooperation for mutual success. game theory says the rational choice is certainty over uncertainty in the present and estimable future loss over possibility of present total loss. yes, it gets fuzzy, and i have objections to underlying premises of game theory, but still interesting, still something the joker would do. however, i think he rebukes the zero-sum aspect, in that those who decide, rationally, to kill the other boat, will die for deciding so, and those who decide to gamble on cooperation will also die. that is, the irrational (according to current logic) beats the rational. the twist will be that there is no choice, only games.

That is a really excellent post. I think no matter what happens the boat scene is going to be very tense. Based on what we know now it is the climax and rightfully so. Some people are saying that it is Two-Face but it seems much more like a Joker thing to me (which would fit nicely into Miranda's early scoop). I like the idea which you have presented that no matter what the people on the boats will die. There are so many ways this scene could turn out that I think it will be, as I said, very tense. I am also fond of the idea presented earlier in this thread: that deciding which boat to save would take the flip of a coin.

wait is that the whole movie?? the joker gets arrested by gordon?? thats not how it ends i hope....

UPDATE thanks to darkknightfan63, ChicageauxTiger, and GPD_Officer.

"During Commissioner Leob's funeral the ten officers doing the rifle salute are actually the Joker and his thugs in disguise. The Joker shoots at the mayor during his speech at the funeral. Joker takes off into the crowd and Gordon tries to save the Mayor. "

so is it safe to say that this joker is not some anomaly and that he originally was employed by the mob to wreak chaos, yet he became more than what they bargained for?

We don't know that yet, in fact we can confirm little to nothing about his motivations - if any, but based on the lines in the trailer it would seem they are STEERING us towards that belief.

so where in the hell are ya'll getting these segments of the script and all of these plot details? Is turtlefocker chris nolan himself...and if so, why does he fock turtles?

God you're so funny =\

He researches and studies, something you didn't do in school :P

Two face is in this movie,I thought they were saving him for the third movie?

Based on what we know Dent is scared in the court room by a guy name Rossi working for Sal Marino around scene 260, but Scene 304,5,6 he confronts Sal Maroni (two face that is)... he flips his coin and

Sal is saved, but his driver is NOT.. Two Face later blows up the car

It looks like he also plays into the next film, as Barbara Gordon is relayed instructions that he left from Officer Ramirez in scene 318 area, right around the very end of the film.
