Square Enix's Avengers

I think you can find Fallen Order on sale every once in a while, though if it is digital you are looking for that is probably harder. Control actually has a "complete edition" coming out in Sept I believe. It has the DLC and is $40 American.
Yeah both are already $40 from where I live, though I'm still waitingfor the price to even go lower. Both Control and Fallen Order. Though for control,I am now waiting for complete edition of it just like Mk11. I shouldbe able to get them all next year, just in time for theps5 transition.

Speaking of Hulk..I really dig the Berserk and Broken Hulk skins. Badass savage! Big Green and Legacy are must use too.

Possessed Hulk will be cool for October!
I died a lot too as Hulk in the second mission. Though I think he heals when he's using the rage power, idk. I switched to easy, after the 5th death.

I've only died twice on normal and it was indeed Hulk both times. I have faith a lot will be tweaked in patch updates though

This is reminding me of X-Men Legends. Kamala Khan is like the Magma of this game.
I wonder how long the launch game is. This beta is quite long just to be given for free. I feel kinda tempted to get this, if only they have more playable characters in the launch, I would really be tempted.

I also like the loading screens, the hud is fine to me and the cutscenes are not short. They really need to fiX the camera imo. I don't really have any complaints so far. The costumes are easy to ignore once I started the game.

Yeah don’t think I will be getting this at launch now, sounds it needs a lot of patches and may worth waiting until I get a PS5 to buy it which is a little while off yet.

I was really hoping this would be better at launch. Maybe it will be after a number of patches as you say.

Its a bit rough around the edges. You have a lot of enemies, and with every single move of playable character, the camera moves. It gets chaotic and you will need to adjust the camera so you won't be killed faster. I think I'm done with the demo now. I've visited all four locations now in the globe hologram, which is a lot for a demo and I don't think there will be more until the actual game is released.

Cap/Thor are only available in A day segment, iinw. I wish they already have the other Avengers for the launch instead of spreading them out to possibly 2022 and beyond. I think thats whats missing in the game, it feels a bit incomplete when other characters are only available months after the launch date, and I don't know if their role is even important to the main story of the launch version. Im not a fan of this model of having multiple updates/dlcs. I prefer a long game that I can play straight for a month, then I could move on to other games or wait for a sequel after I finished the main campaign. Good thing, I'm getting this next year. Cap being mia after A day is a still odd. They didn't need to retire him after the first segment. He should have been playable throughout the game.

Was watching some gameplay on Youtube from the demo & I'm gonna hold off buying this on release.

It looks very rough around the edges, laggy cutscenes, bugged graphics & the most annoying thing I'd seen from the gameplay I watched was as @psylockolussus mentioned, the camera, I presume it's not a feature that can be changed as of yet given that the 2 or 3 videos I saw all had the same sort of qualities. It was constantly shaking with motion blur & it never seemed to adjust significantly for the character you're using ie the camera is as close to The Hulk as it is to Black Widow despite him taking up significantly more space on the screen.

The camera shake & the motion blur effects though need to be addressed or at least allow the user to turn them off or lessen them with sliders as it would be headache inducing playing such a game for extended periods.

With the release only a few weeks away, I don't really fancy paying £50 for a game that seems so unfinished.

Not sure why they do this, give beta/pre order access. Did this with Anthem, I pre-ordered the highest version of Anthem , tried the beta/pre order access and after discovering it sucked ass I cancelled my pre order and many people did the same thing or just stayed away because of the bad rep it got.

Same thing with this game, it is getting massive bad rep, maybe there are videos saying good things about it, but I always see ones saying bad things, or forums with nothing bad bad things to say about it. So I pre -ordered.. and sure enough... ya... its ok but on the whole it is not great. Not worth the money I had to dish out thats for sure so once again I am cancelling and saving that money for Cyberpunk or watchdogs.

Well, at least with the beta, you were able to try the game out, determine that it sucked, and thus cancel your pre-order and save your money. So, I think it's a good thing they let you try the beta. :)

The game has potential, however i feel that it's going to be a sloppy game release and that overtime it will improve like Battlefront 2 did.

In other news it appears alot of characters are on their way in at least they'll be involved in some capacity

View at your own risk Spoilers ahead

I'm enjoying getting collectibles, condex type stuff, gear, skins. Etc

Yeah that's kinda how I feel about it. Of course I didn't touch Battlefront II until it had already become good :hehe:

Battlefield 2 wasn't that bad of a game at launch but it was mostly negative backlash amid controversy. Definently kept improving over time though and is a much better game now overall than it was at launch.

I feel people are focusing on the negatives of this game too much and it's actually decent with some positives but it does have potential for greatness that could be reached...but probably not until post launch and so yeah a Battlefield 2 situation

Yeah I am still looking forward to it and will get it at some point but may just wait for a few updates.

Maybe there will be a day 1 patch but likely not a major significant one until at least a couple of months

For a game like this, the first in what I presume intends to be a series of intended games & potential spin offs like the Arkham series, it really cannot afford to have a bad launch.. games with an established fanbase can have bad launches but this can't.

Also for the money they are charging for the game, it can't be launched in an unfinished state.. well it can, but people won't keep the game long enough for them to maximise their potential DLC revenue which seems to be where the real money is at with games.

Its a stress test, something that is important for online games. You have to test your servers so they don't burst into flame on launch day. It is necessary, but can also lead to backlash.

Except it isn't supposed to be like the start of a new franchise. This is the game that they want people to play for years. Which is kind of odd how it is launching at the end of the console lifecycle.

I think you've somewhat countered your own point, it can't be a game they intend people to play for multiple years because once the next gen consoles come you're only going to have a small pocket of fans remaining playing the game beyond 1 year.

Have they announced what their plan is for DLC? Because that will ultimately determine how long a titles life cycle actually is.

It can and that's what devs keep saying is the plan. Characters, locations, story missions and updates will be free and a regular over time for years. Cosmetics will be the only purchasable dlc

I was just checking, apparently it will be free to upgrade to the PS5 version of the game when it launches. That makes sense because there's absolutely no way this game was going to survive for years if it didn't/doesn't make the branch into the next-gen consoles given that they are supposedly right around the corner.

DC Universe Online is almost 10 years old and has been on every platform since PS3. There's still a lot of players daily!

Marvel Heroes Omega lasted a couple of years with many players until the last second before the servers for shut down

By the way, has anyone tried the MP aspect of the beta yet? If so, how is that feeling?

I've only done it once. A 2 player co-op mission where I was classic Hulk and the other player was Kamala/Ms Marvel. Matchmaking kinda sucked as it took a while but everything else was fine with no lag. We did pretty good together and I was embarrassed to have died or was dying but the player revived me

What I would love to see as either a huge expansion or a totally separate game is a gigantic, intergalactic, cosmic level Thor or Silver Surfer game. A lot of the incredible space elements from Walt Simonson could be incorporated. That would be an absolutely crushingly awesome game if done well
