It's official. SSX: Deadly Dessents was just announced on the VGA's. What do you guys think? I LOVED SSX, and now...wow. Can't wait!

That sounds perfect. A modern, yet goofy SSX. Hope it turns out as awesome as it sounds

Im excited for this game, I was actually hoping for the more serious mood we saw in the VGA preview. I don't mind the lighter stuff but the VGA preview is what really piqued my interest.

Changing SSX to the "realistic" style you want would be like changing Twisted Metal into a racing sim. There is no need for it and the fans of the series would most likely turn it's back on it. I wouldn't mind playing a realistic snowboarding game mind you, but don't mess with what makes SSX awesome and take away it's identity. Just my opinion of course.

Sorry Pat, SSX has always been a fun, cartonny sort of snowboarding game. 1080 snowboarding if you want a realistic boarding game....wow that was a fun game t:

lol, I loved 1080. The panda was awesome. SSX, the first was a bit ridiculous, but it maintained the feeling of being on the slopes incredibly well. That's the main thing I hope they maintain in the new one.

Thread title should be changed to just SSX. "Deadly Descent" is just a game mode now and not part of the games name.

I hope this is great but if they have stupid survival crap, that could suck. The hang gliding suit or w/e looks like it could add an element of fun on a few tracks.
