Star Trek: The Final Frontier ~ Season I OOC Thread

Now we just got to make sure everyone else is in.

My mind is aglow with whirling, transient nodes of thought careening through a cosmic vapor of invention.

Ok, I got a post in for set up.

I'll be sending out a couple of pm's today or tonight to a couple of you about a couple of things that are going to happen. Everyone else will get to react naturally. :awesome:

I would have if someone had sent me a message telling me we were trying our hand at CPR.

Also, Weig, I remind you that this current Enterprise has a few small fighter craft to engage hostiles directly.

It has what now?

Why doesn't anyone ever tell the first officer these things?!

Just a reminder, the Romulans could see through our cloak, and Rourke is in sickbay. :p :awesome:

Rourke demanded a view-screen of the bridge/outside while in sickbay.
Then he has a heart attack.

Otherwise... D'Oh! I say let the scene be.

The cap'n is unconscious. All will be explained in my forthcoming post.

So, Question and I were throwing ideas around about how to drum up interest in the game again. What we've hit upon is opening the game up.

Currently, the game is confined to the Enterprise. And it's rather run like we have a DM. Whoever is running the mission determines what happens next.

But, rather then keeping the game on the Enterprise, we'd open it to let people expand their characters throughout the galaxy. If you want to captain another ship, be a security officer on DS9, be a Klingon, explore what it's like to be a Gorn, or escape the Collective as a rogue Borg, go ahead.

But, we won't necessarily be dropping the entire DM concept. Even if we keep the game open, the GM's will occasionally through large arcs into the game. Like suspicious activity within the Klingon High Council. Or a Borg invasion on the Federation. Things that players and ships can choose to deal with or not, if they're willing to take that chance. ;)

And, players will be still be able to join the ships of other players, and even DM missions for their individual ships or stations, sort of like what we're doing now, if they choose to do so.

What does everyone think about that?

I approve. Especially if it drums up more interest.
